Looks like it's sat further from the floor than standard.

Probably wouldn't get over your average UK pot hole without bending the wheel and ripping the tyre off.

Nice!

The thought behind this is: "If 19"'s are better than 18" then..." ad infinitum

I'm not one who thinks you shouldn't change anything on a car but this looks vomit

God if you need to be different put the 19inchers off the M6 on instead, one in Wakefield has these looks nice.
Mine came with M6 wheels which pretty much sold the car for me. Some lovely wheels on M5's on various threads on m5board.com but those in that ad look terrible imho.

They are damn nice with the M6 wheels, the one I had a good look at was in that deeper metallic red (sorry don't know the right name) and on an 06 plate. Do they come as an option on the M5 now the M6 is out?

They are a cost option, not sure how much - I think just under 1k.

Apparently the wheels are not actually M6 wheels, they are M6 style for the M5 - different offsets to the wheels on an M6 for some reason.

Ah thought they might be a bit different in the details, but wasn't sure. The stock M5 wheels for me look a bit drab in comparison now. Really do set the car off a treat smile
