Here's my problem.

I've got a e46 m3 53 plate with 102k on the clock.
I've had it about 3 years and in that time only averaged about 2500 miles per year.
It has been sorn all this year and stored in the garage and run every week or so.
I have to use a Audi diesel for another twelve months due to family commitments.

My wife and kids think i should sell and buy again some time in the future.

I'm thinking maybe to keep and put back on the road again in 12 months time.

It is in perfect condition, completely original and all up together.

WHAT IS THE GENERAL FEELING OUT THERE ?

Cheers

Sell.

No point having a 100k garage queen. If it was sub-50k, it'd be worth keeping.
If you want another in future there's always plenty of nice examples on sale.

I agree with M3CS, you might as well sell it while there is a bit of sun in the sky and they can see how good it is, rather than keep hold of it and in 6 months time sell it when it's dreary out and people are beating you down on price because it's "been off the road" so they might think it needs bits doing to it

If you dont need the money, just keep it.

If you need the money - sell it.

Sounds like you enjoy the example you've got but can't justify the expense of having it on the road at the same time as the Audi.

That being the case i would hold on to a car you know and trust and put it back on the road when you are ready.

Generally if the wife is encouraging you to sell then she has her eyes on the cash - i'd be very suspicious!!

Thanks for the replies,

The reason i'm using the Audi is to keep it running until my son gets his licence back.

The cost of running the M3 is immaterial, but i cannot make up my mind to keep or sell.

What do you reckon would be a fair price if i were to put it up for sale.

Cheers

Better the devil you know.

Keep it, no point selling it just to buy another next year.
