Buying a M3

Would it be quite crazy to buy a used M3 (current shape) with the new one out soon?

As a ballpark figure of £22K for a M3, how much is this likely to depreciate within the 1st 6 months of the new M3 coming out?

I appreciate it will be a different market (£22K used vs £48K+ for a new one.)

Currently drive a S2 Exige but might be looking to replace after this seasons trackdays.
Something with performance and able to transport the family so the M3 seems to fit the bill.
