I'm after any suggestions on disk & pad upgrades. I need to replace both front & rear on my MCoupe and have been quoted £564.00 for OEM from the local stealer. I'm ok to fit myself but I was wandering what upgrades may be worth considering before going OEM. I'm not looking to change calipers at this stage!

I had read good things about the standard brakes. I just wanted to check before shelving out nearly £600 that I wasn't missing an oppotunity to spend a few extra ££££ for a much improved set-up.

I intend going for a fluid upgrade (I have some AP Dot5 left over from my Ultima) Can any one suggest a braided hose supplier local to the Southampton area?

Thanks again

Blimey Paul yet another new car....... I still have the M3 I bought 3 years ago, I fitted EBC discs with redstuff pads and they feel little different in feel and performance to the originals and still smoke when I've pushed it a bit.... however they are not as well balanced and they added a slight wobble to the steering which I have never bothered sorting.
I'm sure they would be better on track but lets be hounest our BM's are not our track cars (unless you've also sold you tiger?).

Personelly I'd stick with the originals.

This has replaced the Tiger! Great track toy but 4 track days in 2 years and not road legal made it a bit under used. The MC gets to stretch its legs more often and will survive the odd track day a year as well.

I'm going to go for the BMW disks and probably some track-day bias pads. See how they go. I can't justify 2-2.5k on a full AP upgrade at the moment.
