basic question about M5
Discussion
hi, i've had a couple of M3's before (regd 95, and 03), and one of the few downsides for me was the need for revs. ie, being a bit lazy,i like to pull from low revs without the need to change down.
am thinking of a 2000-2002 M5, and am interested if the difference in torque vs the M3 and the V8 means that it pulls hard from low revs, say pulls from 30mph in 6th??
cheers

hi, thanks for the advice. I had a porsche 997S which pulled well from low revs, so u could pootle around town without much effort (but then cane it around the lanes, or track etc). I've also had a 2003 E55, which of course has unbelievable acceleration and torque, but was a nightmare in every other (driving)aspect, and basically lethal in the wet (the "pipe n slippers" description mentioned previously is also sadly true). Currently running a little golf R32, with "DSG". A bit gutless higher up the range, but grip and torque (and noise) are astounding. lots of fun. Thinking of either the latest RS4, or 01/02 M5 for the next one (sorry, i simply cant stand the looks of the present M5, even tho its awesome in all other respects).
