Any pointers as to how to get say another 50bhp from the standard 4 pot engine?

Fast road to track - hamer all day on track and drive home again....

Is there a supercharger approach?

Thanks for this - I know they punch above their weight! Just fancy a bit extra grunt to make up for lack of driver skill!

By the way, if you do feel the need for a bit more grunt. Lotec did a turbo version back in the day. There are a few of these still around and are kind of nice in a left field way. Given modern turbo technology I suspect you could take one and make a very nice car. Keeping the little 4 pot is a must as the balance is just so nice.

The diff makes sense - but at what at expense to top speed? I presume there is a trade off?

Also have a lower diff ratio (as GTWayne suggested) which feel like an additional 30bhp.

Car is stripped out and managed to catch & pass a reasonably driven 580bhp Skyline at Silverstone and certainly wasn't embarrassed by any car their apart from a couple of big power time attack evo's and skylines.

To get over 250bhp is not easy - 2.5 would be the way to go with high compression pistons/flowed head/my cams/maxx or omex and airbox.
