Ok Guys, i have been looking around and i am finding it difficult locating the car i want.

Looking to spend about 23k

What age, mileage etc should i be looking at ideally ?

I really want a white one. Are there many about ? Should i pay a premium ?

I have seen an 06 30k one for £24999, dealer will go down to 23 but wont offer me much px wise.

Thanks

http://www.lionmotorgroup.co.uk/stock/detailU40004...

Is anyone aware of the history of this car.

Dealer isnt really bending over backwards to make a deal and will not get the service that is due done by a bmw dealer.

What would yousay its worth ?

Steer Clear ?

Thanks

Personally i like the rims, paint combo

Anyone on here that knows the anymore about the history of the actual car ?

30k miles seems quite high with about 15k seemingly being the average for sale at the mo. If a lot of those miles have been done on the track or at high revs i best back away from this and be patient !!

Anyone know how i can get hold of Ed ?

I just want to find out some more about the history of this car.

Not getting a warm and fuzzy feeling from the dealer.

He just said to me that he is suprised i havnt given him top wack for a car with no up to date bmw service history, dealer warranty or tax.

He did offer me 250 to cover the service but no redress if faults were found

And there was me thinking it was a buyers market

I am going to walk, or wait for a price that reflects what it will cost for me to ensure that the car is up to scratch. At the moment I would have to pay for an independant bmw inspection and then service and i would expect that being taken into account in the price also. Why i am even contemplating risking the inspection fee is beyond me. Its amazing what cars can do to a man !!

The email trail between us makes for hilarious reading bearing in mind the economy at present. They must be so confident they have a unique car or think im an absolute mug that will stumble blindly into a trade!!

I have asked BMW AUC to source me a white one and will monitor autotrader and pistonheads!! I have set my heart on white and can get some nice csl's or schnitzer's with the money i save.

Anyone want a silver s2 elise sports tourer ??? wink

Thanks for all of your assistance guys
