Hi, has anyone fitted these sucessfully ? Bought a set and with max ride height the springs just foul tyres and wheels on the front. With recommended ride height aboyt 30mm drop(Tein manual) springs dig into tyres even with recommended 5mm spacers fitted and the car is undrivable. In all ways the M3 is totally standard with Contour style wheels and 225's on the front. I've already had the car in the workshop for a day trying to get this to work and it's getting expensive......any ideas apart from taking the Teins off?

Didn't expect to be the first doing this sh**! should have gone for the Bilsteins.....still too late now so need to get them to work if possible, too much cash is sunk in the install.......
At the highest practical setting they give about 20mm drop on standard but foul the tyres with 5mm spacers. Also the springs turn on the top mounts and ping badly when going lock to lock. Couldn't get any 10mm spacers quickly so I think the only chance is to get some and increase the drop slightly to put more compression on the springs to hold them in place ?

Still can't get this to work......10mm spacers plus max ride height now gives good clearance shock to tire but the setup is badly wrong somehow. When centering the steering from left lock the car pulls left on straight ahead and centering from right lock it pulls right.....must be something wrong with strut alignment or top mounts ? a very silly question for anyone that can help..I guess the drivers side top mount has the letter R stamped on it and an arrow pointing forwards ( under the plastic dust cover under the bonnet? It looks odd as the plug you pull out to access the strut top nut isn't centred in the turret top but part hidden under the cut out in the turret top?
I could email a pic if someone could check for me ?

Wish I could drive it to get a setup !!!
Steering problem solved - as supplied by Tein the spring top cup makes direct contact with the top mount so the strut can't turn on the top mount bearing. Solved with an extra washer placed between the spring top cup and the bearing dust cover. Now struts turn ok and the steering is normal. But today I found that the clearance between the lower spring seat and the tyres is fine on the drivers side ( at least 5mm 'daylight') but on the passenger side clearance is -3mm ie tyre destroyed by the spring seat cutting into the tyre under some conditions. Now I really don't understand, there's nothing adjustable in the mounting of the strut onto the hub and this fixes the clearance between strut and wheel.Ride height is adjusted to be exactly the same for each side. Why almost 10mm difference in clearance side to side on the car ? Any ideas would be very greatfully received .....
