Isn't that the car that sold on Collecting Cars after the sale, remember it was very low mileage
was over around 18 months ago ,the seller a rich property developer listed around 8 of his cars at once, rods, yanks and super cars
including that lovely dark green 68/69 440 Charger and later listed a very special yellow 440 Charger.
From memory i think it sold for around thirty something and was advertised a week later for around £15 K or more profit and sold it within
a couple of days , Think we all agreed it was a cheap car being worth lots more in the States that for some reason we all overlooked.
Would go back through Collecting Cars sold list but can't be assed, but i'm sure that's the car,
Don't know where you got it from but it has to be a scam and not a very good one ,should have asked a lot more to make
it look realistic, (Got Gastroenteritis, not been out or eaten for a couple of days ,can you tell i'm bored out of my mind)

Yep, was right, and was back in early 2021, and sold for £43.5k at the time.

On the subject of Vettes with/without power steering......mine has power steering..... interestingly with 255/40 section rubber and a 12 inch diameter steering wheel it's almost as though it hasn't got PS assistance.... actually a perfect 'weighting' really!
With that width of tyre without power steering it would be almost impossible to drive at lower speed,It's nice to leave some feel in the steering on a sports car , does it tramline with those wide tyres,
most of mine did on occasions ,always felt they were trying to kill me.
With smaller and tighter parking bays i'm glad that i rarely go anywhere near town in these old cars
I should do a total refurb/re-jig of the front end and its settings - photo below shows the effect of 'hitting' the gas pedal at around 30 mph.
With its 600 ft/lbs of torque, 3.08 rear end and 2.20 first gear at that speed there's zero wheelspin - the front 'rotates', the rear squats, digs in and launches perfectly.......its only when close to three figures and the front end settles that the rear end can become 'squirrely'.
More concerning though (and alluding to Jon's "trying to kill him scenario") is the sudden reversal of castor when stepping-off the gas when the front end is 'airbourne' and abruptly drops if you are forced to slow down suddenly.........

Great photo who ever took it ,
See what you mean about the front getting light , won't ask you what speed you were doing

I was a little out on the price and time span, As i said it didn't sell on the day but a day or so after, https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1969-chevrolet...
I must have got the price in the thirties from what the last bid was but i do remember it being re -advertised
very soon after being on Collecting Cars and it was a big difference to what was paid, someone was on the ball
that day ,Since the seller has listed other cars on CC after he listed all those cars ,There was a black 32 roadster as well as Gregs 3 window
but not sure if it was on the same week, remember the 2 Chargers green and yellow one,
According to greg he's got loads of cars and chops and changes them on a regular basis,
He's certainly got eclectic taste as it's hard to believe the mix of cars came from the same seller.
You must have a lot of patience finding the original details.
PS----- I forgot about the 6% commission so ye the price would have been in the 40's,

Mine doesn’t tramline and I’ve got 275 x 15 on the the front.
Less 'forgiving' nature and comparitive rigidity of low profiles vs higher profiles I guess. Mine rarely tramlined with 15" 60 series tyres.I remember back in the early 80's following what everyone else was doing with RS Escorts, and fitting 185/60 low profile tyres in place of 175/70 tyres, and boy did the RS tramline like a drunk pig with them fitted........
Once they were knackered, I went back to proper OEM 175/70 size and it was so much nicer to drive.

What a fabulous looking machine
I could definitely live with this on the drive !
Rare things too. What a fabulous looking machine
I could definitely live with this on the drive !
The Chevelle outsold the Torino by about 8 to 1, so not many around relatively speaking when new, let alone survived the next 50 years.
I'd still rather have a '63/64 Galaxie though

I don't do Facebook so can't see that unfortunately? Is it also a '70 model? I know that there aren't many (if any) in the UK and it would be nice to see another. £10K may buy it ??
I'm currently doing a bit of tidying up on my Ranchero over this rainy winter, mainly on the floors. Had to replace one full section at the rear of the drivers seat but I'll hopefully be getting away with small patches in the rest as it's not too bad.
