So fella's what would you choose?.........a Lele at £65k with perhaps zero trim and panel availability...........RR's C2 (or even a matching numbers car at similar price to Lele) but with excellent parts availability (albeit pricey) and only two seats?
Me, I'd possibly choose the Lele......IF I had bought it a few years ago at perhaps a third or less than current asking price!
C2 every time for me, much closer to my other interests (or a 57 T-Bird or C1 vette etc)Me, I'd possibly choose the Lele......IF I had bought it a few years ago at perhaps a third or less than current asking price!
For me, its as much about the era as the car, so for me, the Iso has no connection to all the other connections I have to that late 40's thru early 60's era I have, which for me is as much a part of the ownership as the car itself.
Sure, in a lottery win spending spree I'd chuck a few late 60's and 70's stuff into the garage to add the the period stuff.

RR ‘s Vette in a heartbeat!!!
Absolutely zero competition if compared with some very dodgy Italian mongrel lol
Having seen these old lady’s naked it gives one perspective,
Early 308’s etc are just thrown together under the skin
Millions of places to just dissolve,
Lamborghinis the same so I’ve zero doubt the ISO’s and Detomaso’s would be just the same!
Be afraid Nij
I'll just go and hide in the corner with my Italian car brochure collection and sulk for a bit then!
Right - GT40 interlude alert : a pair of genuine '60s road going versions from the same collection...

The most underrated Lambo made , i've stored one for a friend and my parents neighbour had one ,

Stop it Aero.........this is too much for me. Reminds me of my '67 GTA 390 and having sell it during the early 90's 'crash' to keep afloat! How about this R-code 427 Fairlane recently sold on Bringatrailer........cheap car

Potentially rusty yank junk! How about this R-code 427 Fairlane recently sold on Bringatrailer........cheap car

Nice shape, but proportionally the wheels and arches look a bit too small

Agreed - but the very first thing a buyer would do is put a set of 'big-n-littles' on the car, (probably with slicks on the rear) and filling the wheel openings out nicely -
Fellers there all rusty !!The only difference being is the yanks lasted a few more years before perforating!
In fact a lot were galvanised up to waist but that stopped around 71’
I keep it all in perspective by thinking I was still in primary school when the B ‘ was made !
Harry’s 69’ my first year at secondary school,
Makes you think!!!
But back in topic the Ford is a proper car,

The quintessential sleeper, dare i say it ,looks almost boring,
Doesn't come over that exciting to drive either on the video but
i'm sure it is in real terms, almost embarrassingly quiet as well ,
Obviously well up there in collectors market place to fetch that
sort of money.

P5BNij-------- back to yanks in the real world.
Thought of you when i saw this on "Unusual Cars For Sale UK" tonight.
C3 Vette 1981 , white ,57,000 miles, £10,995 ovno.at Gatwick.
Not sure how this works if not on Face Book,
Maybe just as well another site full of American cars to drive you insane.

My favourite Fairlane is the Steve Strope built 'Black Ops' Fairlane.....with the repro Miura rims on it (just to keep Nij happy )
The build detail on this car is stunning with bespoke torsion bar suspension system and all sorts of goodies.
But largely because its got this glorious piece of kit under the hood

I would take the C2 over the Iso Lele. I have a good friend with a Grifo that he has owned for many years. He is nearly 80 years of age and still does all the work on his cars himself. He has just had the gearbox out to change the clutch. All on his own. I do not know how he does it. Was offered big money for the car last year and turned it down. The guy said he will wait until he is ready to sell.
I do like the B. Great value for money. Do tall guys fit ?

I like that year of Torino.so much nicer than the later bulky Starsky and Hutch shape,https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/38059801...
A good alternative to just another Mustang and cheaper.
Love the dark green one in the film Torino,
