The general state of the country that we find ourselves in really does bother me.
We went to the Isle of Wight last October for the extravaganza.
First time for me in well over 50 years.
For me it felt to small and even in October the roads where pretty busy. I hate to think what it is like in the height of the season.
The Isle of Man is perhaps another option. I am told the weather is not as bad as you would think being on the Irish coast.
The landmass is larger but it is a hell of a trip to get there and back.
I intend at some point this year to go and visit as I have never been.
We have recently moved and at this moment in time the area feels very much like you are in the country.
Everyone is friendly and it has a real village feel about the place.
We have not met many of the neighbours as yet however my next door neighbour is a car guy and so is the neighbour opposite who has quite a collection which I have not seen as yet. However Sunday he was out in his 30's Bentley which I went over and had a look at. It looks original except it runs a hidden front disc brake kit and the 6750cc Bentley V8

Absolutely love your Camaro Harry, a proper car.
Thanks! I do love the thing and it drives well (apart from vague steering, which I reckon means it needs a steering box upgrade). Just wish I could drive it more. People love it when they see it too - was trickling down Windsor High Street and a bunch of Aussie tourists cheered at me and wanted to take photos.Last car I had that people were so nice about was a Morgan.

I've been reading up on solutions to the vague steering, this is apparently a good upgrade, the Borgeson 800130. Video review HERELast car I had that people were so nice about was a Morgan.

Sounds like ideal neighbours to have if your a petrol head, The Bentley special sounds like the one that goes to to the ex second world war airfield near oxford'can't remember what it is called although i've been there a couple of times. .minds gone plank. got some photo's of it somewhere. very low unlike most of the Bentley 's specials that are a bit sit up and beg ,usually on MK6 or R Type chassis's with straight six lumps,If this one is the same car i think it is based on a S2 or S3, i've been to the I.O.M once funny enough to buy a R Type Bentley but i think the photos the seller sent me were 30 years ago, couldn't find a single thing good about the car, smokey engine ,rust holes in the body and chassis and the leather had been eaten by a dog, made him a low ball offer as i didn't want to waste a trip but he said no, Was back at Heathrow by 4 o'clock pm glad that i didn't have to catch the ferry and drive it back from liverpool with no mot ,tax and still no I.O.M number plates, The seller called me 2 weeks later to say he would accept my offer,i declined and got on the phone to Paradise Garage in Parsons Green and the bought the car from him on my description and sending me a cheque for £ 500 commission just about covering my out of pocket expenses, never been back since,The thing a noticed was all the tree's were leaning one way even the ones inland,I assume from the strong winds they must get there even in the summer. you will be relieved to her that you may not be hearing from me for a while as i killed my pc this morning,i gave it several warnings but it chose to ignor me so now it is many pieces on the living room floor where it will remain until i get round to burying it somewhere, will try to use my phone for now but i have enough trouble making calls from it let alone using it on the internet,i don't won't to kill that as well.We went to the Isle of Wight last October for the extravaganza.

I travelled (flew from London City airport) to the Isle of Man a couple of times about 15 or so years ago for business. Can't say what it's like now but back then it minded me of what England would have been like in the 1950's. I liked it. You could leave one of the major towns at opposite ends of the island in really nice warm sunshine to go to the other end of the Island over the hills and encounter heavy rain, sleet, even snow in minutes and arrive in brilliant sunshine once more.....at real microcosm of a destination.......a bit like a diluted version of North Wales and Snowdonia.

That odd looking 68 Charger made circa £36,500, someone thought it was worth it……
Must have missed that ? What was odd about it?? Surely a 68’ is a 68’ lol
I almost bought one way back, the body had all been done at JC’s in Surrey , then the owner ran out of cash as per ,
But it was pretty dire, crap Asian/Chinese body panels
ok rust free but to square it would have taken forever!
Factor in in was completely stripped including the engine,
And suspension, nah to much even for me !

Awful wheels, wrong / re paint colour, poor advert description, non R/T car ? Non original engine, no console and that’s just from the photos. Not £ much more buys my beauty of a 68 beast Camaro. What was odd about it?? Surely a 68’ is a 68’ lol
