The thing that most irritates me about these car resto (and similar car related) shows is the occasional 'bloopers' from the presenters that makes one question really how much some of these supposedly experienced presenters actually know.
A recent show with Henry Cole and Fuzz Townsend doing their barn trawling 'thing' looking for cars and bikes etc to 'do-up' and sell-on......Henry was looking over a Mk 2 Jag, supposedly built-up for racing......he lifted the bonnet and was enthusing over the nice, shiny cam covers of its 6 pot engine......making some comment about its grear V8 engine!...........OK so Henry is more of a bike 'person' (and many of the bikers commenting about his bike shows seem to think he's a bit of an ass.....). It seems obvious production companys vehicle 'knowlege base' is very lacking presumably with no one suitably knowledgable checking and editing the content properly.
