With the Chevy the prettiest with its frenched round rear lamps, but like you say as a smoker not out of the way price wise, weve all accepted that 15k
or a bit less is now entry level pricing ,
And looking at some of the complete tat thats on E bay etc , think a fair few mugs are going to get burned
RR any news on the TA???

You know what you want and unless a 70/73 T/A comes along there's no point in a substitute ,the Challengeryeah! that why i couldn't buy the 74 SD years ago, all 74 on F bodys have horrible rear ends! 70-73 the first gen with a chrome bumper just looks so right.........................

will be a hard act to follow anyway .
No i've done nothing about the T/A ,my fault ,in fact you given a nudge to give the guy a call . Don't think he's in a
panick but don't want to ignor him either.
Been preoccupied with the Jag and now that Christmas and new year is over start chasing my Gallardo parts again
so i can get that on the internet either to sell or chop it for something interesting .
With the rain today the lanes have got even worse but at least it's washed most of the salt away on the main roads so now i've
sorted the hoses out on the Jag i can give it a shake down to see exactly what i've bought,
Keep fingers crossed i get there and back with no incidents as i got nobody to follow me and we got no phone signal round here.

Dont venture to far! i always do really short bursts to start with! same boat completely on me own! .................
Yeah hopefully we'l be able to get out and about this summer, depending of C19, the weather and my knee, im looking around March time to do the next stage, the only time consuming job will be achieving fully clearance on the Flowmasters , the rest will be easy, bolt on some wheels ,
Ive eliminated most of the rattles but still got a few to get rid of! ok its never going to be modern quiet , but im working on it!
Ive got some good video from my front/rear cameras. unfortunately im singing along to the tunes on the CD ! so not for public consumption
Bruce Springsteen i aint .....................................lol..........................

constantly chasing, As long as it's finished by Easter and Wheels day your be ok.
Ye as long as it ceases to function on the main road i'll be ok but as soon as i get back on the lanes i'm fd
plus they are very narrow with blind bends so always the fear of someone rear ending me coming round the corner to quick
a bit like me.
Keep your phone on just in case.
Well got a letter today from Kimms, im penciled in for my Op on the 20th of March ! so thats buggered my so called work plan
So i'l have to brave the cold and get stuck in,
As i cant make up my mind regarding Wheel/tyre Combo. im seriously considering buying both, 15's and 17's , lol................
Then i can use and see which ones i prefer then maybe flog one set????
How'd the Jag go ??? behave its self

May get some less cold days, trouble is they are usually wet..
None of my business but i would go for 15" , better ride, less chance of damage and more old skool,
If you don't have to lower it to accommodate the 17" and you don't mind the extra expense would be nice to try both.
Looking forward to seeing photo's when finished.
Jag went better than expected ,no real problems, Took the previous owner 8 years to get it to where it is today and
it shows, Only problem was getting the wire wheels clean again, took longer to clean one wheel than washing the whole car ,
The original 2.4 axle is still in place but he included a 3.8 axle with power lock in the sale so need to fit that at some time.
Tried to fit the chrome trim that sits inside the front and rear windscreen rubbers but they have gone hard with the cold ,
need to get the blower heaters on them or wait till the sun comes out, hate fiddly jobs like that ,could take longer than
fitting the axle. still i'm suck here for the winter so got plenty of time.
Like you i just got to set a week aside and just plough on with it.
at some time but it's still drivable on the 2.4 one.

Thought this was worth showing, injected Hemi, probably a stage 3 ? but its got to be very scary! these ragtops had all the structural integrity
of a inflatable dinghy
Still a weapon though!!!

Not sure why as i like land yachts convertibles.
There was a program with a yellow Hemi Challenger convertible in it with Don Johnson in it,but can't remember the name.

Nash Bridges , Hemi Cuda , about 3 million bucks in an auction only in America lol............................
Good news on the Jag, always a worry to start with, and yeah fingers crossed i can get this done , be ideal really, but C19 still could F--- it up !
Yeah mad! ......................... have know idea if the one Johnson Drove was a genuine piece ??
probably not, but take a cooking Rag Top Cuda and make a Hemi Clone , easy,
Its was a Blue car, B 5 i guess that made over 3.5 million Dollars a few years back, probably a one of one? but come on, so what ? its a wobbly E body,
Not a Rembrandt FFS........................................
Kinda reminds me of the interiors of 70's Rootes/Chrysler Hunters and Avengers - that horrible thin black lightly grained plastic that looks as though it will split as soon as you look at it. Rambler/AMC quality was like that - always breadcrumb like particles under the seat and over the floor from the foam filling on the seat crumbling.......

Trip down memory lane, Lived 500 yds from a huge Rootes then Chrysler dealership for more than 20 years ,Remember all the demo cars
lined up, same as above plus Alpines and Tigers, Mention any of the above to anyone younger than 45/50 and unless they are a car guy
they would think your talking about trees, shooting dear and a tele program now on ITV4 .
Glad that someone else can remember the Rootes line up. I did have a Holby Sunbeam Rapier fastback and a Humber Sceptre
also a Singer Chamois and a Stiletto fastback, thought i was driving a Porsche. wouldn't mind them back i expect they are all
worth a few bob now.

One of two! Hemi / 4 speed , Shaker etc, but 3.5 Mil lol................... still rubbish build , still cheap rubbish plastic blown interior , cheap carpets, list goes on ! some people really do have far to much cash ...............lucky sod's ................
One of the Mopar boys who's a authority on them live in Hayling Island which is not to far from me, When i was passing his house i called in
and he did a fender check on my Sublime R/T and he had some really tasty gear there, Plum Crazy Hemi Cuda, Orange 6 pack Challenger
and a Sublime Challenger convertible ,can't remember what lump was in there but knowing him it wasn't a 6 pot.
Think his name was Tony Willis ,if i got it wright, Mopar people will know him.
I use to go to the Mopar show at Brooklands but never got to Santa Pod, Some bright sparks arranged Rally of the
Giants and Worthing American and Hot Rod show on the sea front all on the same weekend every year so all three clashed.
So couldn't be everywhere although i tried.
My fender tag has long gone! i did consider getting one made, but far to much faffing around! the bodys got its part vin in the correct places, and ive got the original order sheet and the factory build sheet, thats very flimsy ! but intact..............
Think the only unusual thing was mine was Stripe Delete! so no large twin side stripes ending with the staggered RT ...............
As its a H code its got a 340, block dated July 70' marked 340 with X heads, its not its original engine though? must have been a full dealer installed replacement , as its unstamped on the vin boss, and no bore/date markings on the front of the block,
So what with it being the wrong colour, inside and out, carbon in place of faux wood grain on the trims, think im going to have to have a rethink price wise???
69's a good number so £69000 sounds cheap when compared with 3,500,000

Shame the Imp/Chamois/Stiletto didn't 'make-it' long term. Engine was far superior to BMC's A Series and the whole car was much more refined - like a Capri, early 3 series Beemer a paving slab or bag of cement in the boot (front or back) really helped handling. There's a nice green Hunter GLS (Holbay 1725) up for sale on Classic Cars (https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/list/45/) currently at £25K. GLS was really an 'entertaining' car to drive (much like a muscle yank - albeit much lowered powered) with its rolling and pitching abnd wallowing around........lined up, same as above plus Alpines and Tigers, Mention any of the above to anyone younger than 45/50 and unless they are a car guy
