Original Dodge Challenger
Discussion
Great rear end, Ive toyed with the idea of moving the car on to try and realise my dream for a early Ram Air TA, but the fact it would take a big chunk of my savings, create a load more work??, add to the fact the Dodge Drives so unbelievably well, so much fun, gets nothing but positive comments every where the car goes,
Nah she's a keeper..................................................................................................................................

There's a quite in-depth 7-page article on the car in this month's Octane magazine of all places.
Very rarely do they mention yank tanks.
Is that the copy with a Ferrari on the cover? Rarely buy it, the one with the Gypsy Rose was lovely.Very rarely do they mention yank tanks.

It was a sort of Plumb Crazy, i say sort of as it was a BeeMer colour!
Think the guy had the car for a while but memory not as good as it was , I think it could have been around the Northwood,Watford
Middlesex/ Hertforshire area but not sure, was a R/T ,can't be many around in those colours,
I ended up buying a scuffy GTO Judge just up the road from the Challenger on the same night because i'd never had one.
Small world if same car.
Yeah its possible? the guy i brought it from, brought it in 2002 ish, when i brought it he lived in East Grinstead, but obviously could have moved!
back in 06 it would have been 7 years since it was restored , but from what Barry told me it held up really well for the first 10 years then it started to deteriorate, i got it early 17' and it was looking very tired !
The rest is history , its 50 next month, probably looks better now than when it was 5 ! plus its a 4 owner car, which is far from unique but unusual for the type of car .........................................................................

going to the Guildford cruise in my Saab with a pocket full of money in the hope there may be something there for sale.
Had my Challenger for around 2 years and remember picking my lad up from school in it when 911 hit the news on the radio..
I'm pretty sure it's the same car because i remember thinking i'm going backwards engine size wise as i really wanted
a 440, mine was a 383, Even back then there was hardly abundance of Challengers about and thought i'll go and have a
look anyway and if it wasn't for the Judge being for sale i probably would have bought it.
Maybe it was fate because if i had you may not own it today,
Funny part is after the Judge i bought the 440 Pimal Scream Kowalski Challenger just out side East Grinstead
Maybe things do happen for a reason.
Finally got around to fitting my rear spoiler, nice period piece , down side its heavy and now the trunk dont stay open!
This car is fitted with a single trunk torsion bar lift, i'l move it to increase tension , but deffo dont want to over stress it and break the rod!
So i may have to source a Broom Handle !

You wont break the rod but be careful, they are under some serious tension, especially in slot three! So i may have to source a Broom Handle !
