Hope you'll be bringing that to the Mopar nationals at the Pod in July.
I need to race you
My good mate and mechanic Brian always goes to this. He is a big Mopar fan. Now I have my first Mopar I probably will go. I've never been down a drag strip in my life. I can just imagine making my first ever run and making a complete arse of my self. Just like poor Johnny did against the Tesla. Now he has had some time to practise he's running solid 10.8's on drag radials. I need to race you
I've never been big into burnouts. Understand the need to gain traction at the strip. I'm more a rolling burnout type of guy and from what I hear the Hellcat is willing to oblige.
It's only a truck, course you'll beat me and won't make an arse of it
Maybe. If it's your first time, you'll be on a learning curve but if you fancy it, look me up and I'll talk you through the finer points.
I just want to see a real world car with a real world driver to see what they really do.

Just remember HD Adam I've run a Lighting as my daily driver for the past 12 years so I know these ain't no POS Jap crap diesels I've just bought my fourth with 40,000 miles on it, part exchanging mine with 130,000 + on it. If I am definitely going I'll pm you for some advice. I do not want to embarrass myself
At the last few Mopars, they have allowed passenger rides (if you are signed on) so I'll quite happily take you for a ride up the strip in mine so you can see what it's all about.
When I've taken a passenger before, they've commented on how fast things seem to happen between going in for the burnout and getting the green light as it doesn't appear that way from the stands.
Speaking of making an arse of it, the first time I raced at a proper drag strip (Royal Purple Raceway in Houston) I drove up, around the water box and reversed back into it like I'd been told so the front tyres didn't get wet.
I did a lovely burnout and then released the brakes to go up to the start line end the only problem was that I'd left it in reverse and shot backwards towards the car coming in behind me.
Cue very loud jeers from the Friday night crowd.
I managed to get myself together, launched away from the green light and did the quarter. Hooray.
When I lifted my foot off past the finish line, the truck shifted up into 4th and kept going into the darkness because the throttle pedal had jammed under my new big rubber floor mats
A fun first experience but I got better after that
