Im now offically looking for a 1976ish camaro!! I dont need, nor can I afford a 3rd car but Im going to get one anyway! The effect films have on me is silly... (obviously just watched transformers)

Im a bit stuck for finding some kind of price guide for a half-decent to good one. I have seen them for a "few" grand (2.5k to 4.5k) on fleabay and auto trader. Am I going to get a goodun for that kind of cash?

Cheers

Just checking you mean a 1976 Cos the 2nd gen came in 3 'series' 70-73, 74-77, 78-81.
the 74-77 is recognisable by it's chrome/metal front bumper but later body compared to 70-73's.
Most are fairly rotten, and you need to spend 4K to find a reasonable one, and that still wwill have issues, most are slightly modified too, but that wouldn't bother most people.
Go for the best bodywork you can find, as mechanical problems and gremlins are a cheaper fix.
They tend to rot around rear window, boot (trunk) floor, bottoms of front wings, rear arches etc..
good luck...!!
so they tend to rot pretty much everywhere! smile

The one in the pic is pretty much right, minor "facelift" changes im not so fussed about, so long as the main "shape" is the same! Have found a couple on autotrader which I might take a trip to kick the tyres of on the weekend! this could be an expensive 30th birthday present to my self! cheers.
