Here's one of mine that I hardly seem to wear. I might get it out the case for the weekend.

That is nice, what model is it?
I am thinking of putting this on Ebay. I know the metal bracelets seem to go for more but I prefer my leather strapped watches. It's number 737/1000 and I have all the papers. Any ideas what I should put if up for? Also, what postage would you recommend with the value being high and any tips to avoid fraudsters or is paypal as secure as you can get?
Not sure what it's worth but paypal is safe as far as I know. I'd have a look and see if you can find any second hand and base your price around that and go for most expensive postage option.

PayPal safe, not if the buyer claims the watch was a fake and gets refunded. For a watch on eBay I'd insist on cash on collection only, although I doubt I'd dare to sell a watch on the ebay
Good point, not sure if I would either.

It was me incog... Yeah the pen & hat were, we had a few issues early on (mix ups). On collection the service really was like clockwork (no pun intended... Lol) they understood frustrations and gave fair explanations. Fantastic attention shown and fully restored my faith in the brand!

It's The Bentley for Motors T (ltd violet dial) and aswell as calf strap I got it with the alligator deployment strap which it's now on. While at the Boutique in St Tropez I got the black 6.75 rubber strap and blue ocean racer rubber with deployment clasp. All fitted to size on collection... It's amazing how smug a watch can make us feel... Lol. Loving yours mate.
Sorry for mistaken identity, lovely watch and lots of choice with the straps. What sort quality is the pen?

That does look REALLY good, congratulations and Happy Birthday!

I've still got the terrible horn for a Ti Seawolf!

The Bentley above isn't my post, Incognegro am I right in thinking that it's impossible to get a deal at the Bond St shop but
you can choose a "gift"?

I was lurking in the Bond St shop today, I also spotted PHer "F1ten" making a hell of a noise in his 360! :-)
First of all many happy returns Neil!

Don that's right they did say they have some gifts they include with watches but the chrome pen was a real token of goodwill. I was collecting from overhaul £495 as there were no additional things needed to be addressed. The pen I was given really is awesome apart from being a chunky as anything it writes so well! For me the slick service and small gifts are what makes the experience of the top watches all the more fun as perhaps that's why we pay the premium to be part of an elite group?
Neil knows what a Breitling fan I am but I'm sure people will be along shortly who will dispute Breitlings being described as "top watches"!!!'
Yes you do own a few among others Don wink, I am a mere one Breitling owner and to me they are top watches but if you pay 80k for a watch then a Breitling in comparison is a Timex.

Please don't think I'm highjacking this thread, but I'm hoping a Breitling regular might be able to help. I'm thinking of getting an ocean racer strap for my SOH 42 so that I can wear it everyday. I love the mesh bracelet it's currently on, but it's too dressy for my day job. Do many of you interchange straps regularly? Is it as simple as I think it is? Thanks.
Post a pic when you've got the new strap on smile

I wanted an automatic as battery's in the Aerospace only last 3 years!

Post a pic of your Breitling.

What model is the one above? It's stunning.
It's an Avenger Seawolf in titanium, its the same watch as the watch further up ^^ but an earlier model. They are made of steel now.
I used to have one of those...

Then it got stolen.

Now I am sad.
I feel your pain.

Thanks Neil! :-)

Definitely your fault!

UTC needs a new battery but I saw it and wondered when another Ti Chrono Avenger with a UTC might pop up and thought I would jump in!
Lovely watch... Definitely sums up Breitling history & excellence!.. Thinking perhaps I was just born in the "Bling" generation (an 80s baby)... Lol. Hope you really enjoy it mate big thumbs up!
Thanks, really nice of you to say so!

You'd like what I was wearing today then, my Dad's Emergency Mission, I REALLY couldn't wear that thing with a T shirt in the summer, WAAAAAY WAAAAY too lairy for me!!!! :-)
Oh I think I could smile

Just bought this, my first luxury watch.
I never thought I would own a Breitling, as I had not seen one I liked.

However when in the shop and looking at Omega's and Tag's, the salesman noticed the style I was after and offered to show me the Breitling, nearly twice the price I wanted to pay, but the aviation history sold it to me.

I'm not allowed to wear until Christmas though.
People seem to enjoy generalising about Breitlings and the people who own them, but they do have a broad range, yours is lovely and will look great in lots of situations, congratulations!

I know everyone has their own taste / appreciation of watches but I'm SURE you instantly felt the difference between the Breitling snd the others!
My appreciation stems from the engineering involved, and having worked in aviation for the last 25 years I always wanted to find the Breitling I liked.

The difference was there, even to the extent that the Omega cost more but were offering massive discounts.
I still like the Tag's and Omega's so may return one day and make that purchase.
Very classy.

I was looking in a jewellers in Brighton yesterday at what I think was a Yellow faced Avenger Seawolf. It had shiny silver hands and it's lost the red square on the end of the second hand and instead it has a single colour with a diamond shaped end!. It looks a bit shiny imo and I didn't really like it. If it isn't broken why try to fix it Mr B.

Edit: I think the second hand might have a red tip but don't like the diamond over square, rant over..
