Rolex BLNR "Batman" - buy at premium?
Discussion
Was in Dubai over the Xmas period and the waiting times were 2 months max at both AD's I visited for the BLNR.
They had one in Dubai duty free which I would have picked up but price worked out to around £6700 with no discount available.
If the exchange rate was as it was last year I would have picked it up at close to £5500 - a no brainer!

The various Rolex I've looked at there have never been a real bargain in terms of Duty free , bearing in mind they don't always have everything in stock, make sure you visit a Rolex dealer in one of the malls before you leave , one salesman offered me discount on a Yachtmaster without prompting.

Bit of a bump, are these still so hard to come by? Chrono24 prices seem to still be well over retail.
I think so - I've got my name down at my local AD and they're quoting a wait of around 12 months. There's a jeweler just up the road (not a Rolex dealer) and they have a brand new BLNR in the window for £7,880 so they're still pretty hard to come by.They also have a white faced Daytona for £16,500 and whilst it looks great, I just couldn't bring myself to pay that sort of premium for something that has a list price of just over £9,000.
I am a Rolex novice but after Mrs Kickstart indicated she wanted a BLNR for birthday present I contacted 2 dealers and put in orders - both were in the NW - neither quoted a time but 1st call was about 6- 8 weeks later strangely other dealer rang me same day and offered Sub - both date and no date
sadly budget did not stretch to Sub ND as really like them
