Yeah, I’d send that back. Makes you wonder about the QC if that can get through.

i had a new macbook turn up recently with a similar mark on it and sent it back. It took them 4 weeks to send out a new one and they didn't even say sorry, but then Apple are fking aholes. Why would anyone accept that on expensive products from any manufacturer?!

New (yesterday) Alpina Alpiner 4 Auto

Nice to see an Alpina on here. Very underated watch. I have the Alpina 4 GMT and love it.
I was interested in a GMT, but now I see they've discontinued the automatic one, and only do a quartz version. frown
Didn't know they had discontinued it. I've had mine a few years, it came on the metal bracelet but I always planned to run it on leather, which it has done since day one. No special strap, just a £25 curved end leather strap of Ebay.

Here's what I'm making a fuss about. Its a tiny mark, but the principle stands. New watches should be new.
I'll be quite confident that has come from handling via the store and not Omega.

I would be super pissed too.

That's what I said these are ex display models sold at a reduced price as "new" watches. I don't think this is an omega issue.

Probably been placed in and out of a window each day and night and tried on numerous times picked up a scratch and they have thought let's get rid . If they just clarified that it was ex display on line you would know what you were getting into.

Fellow rubber enthusiast here.
Oof! I think this is my new grail watch.
i'd be worried what it would look like it if you knocked the bezel or one of the other black bits.
Seems to have stood up well to the gardening so far......
Good to know my grail watch will stand-up to a bit of gardening biggrin

The only one of my watches I'd wear for gardening would be a G-Shock! Appreciate they are for wearing but why would you risk it?? Unless by 'gardening' you mean cutting the grass.

By risk it what do you mean??! That it ll get a scratch on it? The clasps already got a few lol! I don’t purposely put any of my watches in harms way, I took it off yesterday when I had the chainsaw out .....but Equally I don’t baby them either.......I have a few unworn bits that sit in the safe but the vast majority get worn in rotation and if they get some wear and tear on it I think it adds character tbh!

However before I cause utter outrage amongst the PH collective I got some weeding to do later and digging up tree roots I will wear something more appropriate for the rigours of landscaping !

(All said tongue in cheek)

As I don't intend selling my Sky Dweller (or any of my watches) I rarely take it off.... I wear it whatever I'm doing. It's a Rolex and supposed to be robust.

I feel the same, I just keep whatever watch I have on at the time. I wore my Credor while repotting plants and seedlings a few weeks ago, just because that's what I was wearing at the time, and who really cares if it gets the odd small scratch?!

I don't delibrately mistreat my stuff, but life's too short for being precious tbh.

Yes, fair enough I guess and I appreciate they are made to be worn. I was thinking scratches and dings. I don't have a Rolex or Credor but I do treat mine carefully, better than I treat my cars!

The Bremont I posted above has a 2000Hv case, and sapphire dial and bezel. Nothing's going to scratch that lot. smile

And yet, I seem to wear it rarely.
