Arrived on Wednesday after a lot of dicking about by the courier (the same courier that is now dicking me about with another incoming mad) however the wait was worth it - here's my OceanX Sharkmaster 1000 SMS1014.

To be honest I think that the Sharkmaster moniker is a bit naff though the same can't be said of the watch. At 44mm across and 17.5mm deep it's a bit of a beast and I'm going to guess at something around 230g in weight - a Submariner sized for my wrist is about 150g, for reference. It hides its height relatively well and doesn't appear to be too slab-sided as a portion of its height is due to the bubble case back, it has a well above price point 120 click bezel action and a bracelet, clasp and crown that are all better than some other watches I've tried out or owned for the same price. It also has a wonderful deep blue dial and fully lumed ceramic bezel, the dial itself changes hue according to how it's lit.

Very happy with it, so hopefully I'll be happy with the SMS1052 as well... if it ever gets to me.

Crumbs, my DSSD is only 213g (just had to look it up) and has a definite heft to it, that should be similar. You do get used to it.

I think this is the only watch I have worn since Lockdown I:
Subsequently remedied. An early 1950s (I think) Omega that I bought on eBay for ~£80 in 2003/4. Subsequently had a service with a new plexiglass crystal (original destroyed), hands (too far gone)and a Hirsch ostrich strap with an Omega buckle (felt right with the tone of the face).

Due to man maths, I spent twice what I spent on the watch in getting it into service, this doesn't quiet qualify for the "under £200," thread but it does keep similar time to my SD (unimpressive but not horrible):

I've just weighed it, I thought my electronic scales were kaputt - sized to my wrist it's 222g which is 20g up on my old Seiko SBDX001. I've been wearing it since delivery on Wednesday, thankfully I can get a decent fit with the bracelet and clasp which certainly helps with the weight.

I really like that, can't see it on their website anymore which is a shame!
It's still there! It's under the tool watches section as it's still a dive watch after all: https://baltic-watches.com/en/products/aquascaphe-...

Pruning trees and wood hopping the branches in the garden today, so on goes the trusty solar Seiko, which I use whenever doing DIY etc.

I’m quite tempted by the PloProf copy but at the price there’s a lot of competition from used Seikos etc. I also fancy the MM300 to try for size before purchasing the real deal.

The Sharkmaster looks great.

That'll be Ocean7, not OceanX wink

Seriously though, the Ocean7 ProPlof would be tempting to try as, for me, the ProPlof is one of the most distinctive diver's out there. I've had a soft spot for SBDX MM300s since I tried the 001 and they wear really well for their size due to the scalloped sides on its monocoque case.

Ah, yeah. I was confusing your Ocean X with Steeldive who have recently introduced a PloProf. I owned a mint, original PloProf once and have added to the “shouldn’t have sold” list!

One of my favourties this week, the Orion Sylph. Photos can never do justice to the blue effect on the glass (well my photos anywayhehe).

Must get a new strap for it at some point.

The first G shock / RAF special edition. It’s a big watch though not quite as Flavor Flav like as it looks in the pic...
