Had a skip dropped off the other day for a clear out. Found an old Big Crown in the back of wardrobe I'd forgotten about.

This is such a good looking thing.

I hope for my wallets sake they never do an automatic version!
What's wrong with the hand wind tongue out

Pretty sure though the case itself is too thin to house an automatic movement!

The ETA 2801 is such a satisfying movement to hand wind though, the click, the thunk of the crown as you pull it out...
Hand winders just aren’t for me, I am too unreliable to keep them reliable hehe

Glad the case is too thin for an auto!

Stunning pictures as always Robbie.

A week on, still this one, liking it so much I might try and add the yellow one too.

V nice. I like how Rolex can make unlikely sounding styles work.

See if you can find the red. It's incredible!

My friend had that one but returned it after a few weeks because he got fed up with how fast the patina took effect and changed lol.

Return key hit to Door in 12hrs 30min (the DPD chap was waiting outside but apparently they aren't allowed to deliver early confused )

Got the week off work so can probably risk wearing this for a few days hehe

Latest purchase:

I've got to say I love it even more than I thought I would. The feel of everything about it is first rate and whilst I've no interest in gold watches, the gold edging to the hands and hour markers is probably my favourite thing about it.

After buying it I realised I had a diver, chronograph and GMT, which I find oddly satisfying:

Me too, I liked it before but the suede really makes it!

I remember when it wasn’t so simple to get suede straps, I used to have to get them made.
