Wrist check 2021
Discussion
Wearing my new running watch.
It’s a Garmin Fenix 6s. The smallest of the 3 sizes and probably mainly aimed at girls. I don’t mind that, I’ve got skinny wrists so at 42mm diameter it fits me well (although the strap is only just big enough). The largest one is the 6X and I think it’s 50mm diameter - which is ridiculous IMO.
It’s been really good so far - I’ve kept it on every day since I had it, and i do like the various watchface configurations you can have to show various bits of data.
You don’t really need to know most things though whilst sitting around in the office. I found day/date, HR, and daily step-count is the most useful (I’ve not found any need for my current altitude, pulse-ox data, or VO2 max whilst typing emails!).
The only downside is that it does show how little exercise I get when at the office.

V nice. I like how Rolex can make unlikely sounding styles work.
Have you seen the crazy prices that are being asked for these on C24?! Even the 31 mm are listed for over 2x list.My AD has got me one but when I asked for it (after I'd been invited to see the then-new releases) it was because it was a cool-looking watch, not because it was another Rolex 'investment'. It's for my wrist and telling the time, not for selling on.
I really really wish Seiko did models like that with no date window. I'd be all over them like a rash building a small collection. I like so many of the designs from Alpinists to Cocktails and 5 Sports and beyond but just don't like date windows on any watches
Random Q, anyone ever wear their watch on the opposite wrist? For the first time I'm right handing and it's actually very comfortable, I should switch between both wrists every other day
I measured accuracy of this too, whilst only a day in, it's gained/lost 0 seconds since I set the time to atomic yesterday at 9PM. That is quite remarkable as not even my Hamilton H50 is that bang on at 0-2s a day!
