Is this something Joe (Variomatic) does on a regular basis? I have a 5 that loses a couple of minutes a day. It's almost cheaper to buy a new one but I'd rather keep it.
Sorry mate, I missed your reply. Give him a call is the best option, he used to be quite regular on this forum but has not posted for a while.http://www.ournet.org.uk/contact-us

He's a top bloke!.

Cool - love these; where did you source these from (if you don't mind me asking)?
the black pvd one is the SCED037 quite easy to find, but the silver SCED035 is a little trickier and pricier they come up on ebay from time to time but i got both mine direct from Japan. You could try Yahoo auctionsEdited by mitman on Thursday 31st August 16:11

That's really nice.
Much prefer that than a £3k modern Rolex tbh.
Do these vintage Seikos go for that much?Much prefer that than a £3k modern Rolex tbh.
I must keep my eyes open for one. I guess the trick is simply to buy one you like the look of. That one's a great talking point, well done!
I have to confess to being a Rolex fan, but the SNZH57 I briefly had seemed very well made for 1% of the price!

Cheers. I've looked at a couple of Japanese Seiko sites in the past but haven't ordered anything yet - did you get import tax added when they arrived?
Yes you will have to factor in tax I've being buying stuff from Japan not watches for many years and sometimes it gets through ok sometimes not Try eBay seller neilw3232. He has two more for sale, silver and blue dial.
The bracelet is not original but that didn't bother me as it matches the case perfectly and it is a correct Seiko replacement (I may change to a leather strap at some point). Whether it's all original I don't know, but it all works and the serial date matches the specification. I'd been looking for a while and this ticked the boxes for me. I would like a 'proof' dial but I suspect that would be a lot more money.

They come in various different dial colours, I think the one in your image is the nicest.
Yes, they are collectable, value isn't enormous, maybe £150 to £200? Up to £300 for an 'as new' one?

Missed out. Sold at £80 before I enquired.
Bracelet is wrong anyhow?

Google images show a few with that style of bracelet so it might be original. The case sits a bit awkwardly over whatever strap is fitted, there don't seem to be any bracelets which echo the curve of what would be the lug ends of the case.
