Strangely no mention of just how much the gold Deepsea weighs on the Rolex webpage, unless I'm totally blind... lol

Have to say though, love the GMT on the oyster bracelet and the Blue faced Deepsea...I think I shall pop by next week when they are allowed to put them on my 'wish list' and see what happens...

You wear it on your right wrist, don't you?

Of course not, left wrist, so it gives that 'stranger' vibe (Picture sourced from https://scriptshadow.net/10-screenwriting-mistakes... )
322g? Not even a pound? They didn't try hard enough! Maybe a gold Deepsea Challenge is the watch I seek!

I thought I couldn't be bothered to comment on that model, but there goes:https://newsroom.rolex.com/watches/new-watches/rol...
That is absolutely repulsive. Utterly vulgar and repulsive.
A watch for someone who simply wants a solid gold bar strapped to their wrist so they can show everyone how much money they have.
Absolutely tasteless.

The Russians will love it. Guaranteed seller in Dubai lol
Oh I totally agree. They will sell plenty of them. But just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Many high-end brands refuse to make certain styles of product, even if they know their customers will buy them, on the grounds that they do not want to manufacture anything that could be considered tacky or vulgar.
I suppose Rolex have got this far without any major issues, so I probably best leave it to them to decide what they make and don't make.

Rolex have been making good sports watches for decades. I don’t think adding one more will do any harm. But just because you can, doesn't mean you should. I’m sure a counterfeit one will be available before too long. Have to say though, love the GMT on the oyster bracelet and the Blue faced Deepsea...I think I shall pop by next week when they are allowed to put them on my 'wish list' and see what happens...

I bought my first ever Rolex, a 14060, brand new, out of the window of the AD in Aberdeen... cool story!
Those were the days (15-20yrs ago)... not so much these days.
New releases are pretty meh, but I'd like to try the gold Deepsea for a day!
Vintage market seems to be pretty resilient, which is unsurprising when the range seems so uninspired, these days.
My Sea Dweller was £200 in Schipol late 70’s. Stupid prices these days. Those were the days (15-20yrs ago)... not so much these days.

I’ve got the impression this year, that the wait lists for sports models was largely a thing of the past. I’m currently in Jersey. Thought I’d try the AD as a walk in. I’d like a celebration for my daughter, albeit I’m in no rush. AD totally disinterested. Nothing for sale and unwilling to even take my details for their ‘paused’ waiting list.

Not sure why you felt that way (About wait lists going away).. they're as long and frustrating as ever. Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
