Has the Rolex bubble finally burst? Perhaps it has

Three years worth of which models? Perhaps three years of SS Daytona might be five watches?
Pretty much all models according to him. Seadwellers he reckons they used to get 1 every 6 months, each sub once a quarter. He said they've never seen so many in such a short space of timeI'm not surprised there is excess stock.
I guess a lot of people are going to be in a similar position to me, I could easily afford a Rolex before but after Covid it'd be a huge stretch for me. And after this scare I'd rather keep liquid cash than a buy another bit of entirely vain, unnecessary and overpriced man jewellery....
Theres likely going to be another big group of people who can still afford one but don't like the look a new £10k+ watch gives off in the current climate. Public opinion of what you're doing won't be very positive if you're wearing a brand new Rolex whilst firing staff, cutting shifts or delaying bonuses or whatever.

I wouldn't call it excess the demand is still very much there according to him. I've been on a waiting list for my sea dweller he did say people on lists have been getting watches quicker than they imagined. You don’t have to wear an expensive watch to work, or even out in public. You could just put it away until you feel more comfortable about the thing, or see if you can make a nice profit at some point. After all, liquid cash doesn’t do much at the moment. Exactly, I have no intention of doing so but I could make a grand tomorrow on my SeaDweller and that's not even one of the more popular models.Stu-nph26 said:

Quite the contrary! My AD doesn’t have to ‘sell’ when I walk in...and when I do make my purchases, and most recently that was a ‘Batgirl’, I get all sorts of free gifts as I’m leaving, and that’s on top of the copious amounts of beer or champagne I and whoever else is with me drink whilst trying on lots of watches and just chewing the watch-world cud. A very agreeable experience!
Wow, cool. It must be awesome having that sort of business relationship with one of the premier brands on the planet. I'm not in a position yet to be able to do that, though I am behind the wheel of a BM which, in the car world, is at the same level as Rolex, so I'm half way there - glass half full I looked at your profile to see whether I could pick up some tips to help me up the corporate ladder; very impressive and I can see where the Bond connection comes in, an Aston AND Monte Carlo, wow. There aren't any BMs on your profile but if you can handle an Aston it's likely that you'd be okay in a BM as they're similar rear wheel drive high performance machines; they also look great in Monaco parked outside the Casino as well if you ever go there. Mega look-at-me points as well. I've moved up the car ladder from Peugeot (similar to yours) all the way up to BM and will shortly be pulling the trigger on another new one, can't wait.
Have you ever been on TV? There are few opportunities at the moment but I've seen loads of high-fliers and successful entrepreneurs on The Apprentice and they're currently looking for suitable candidates.
