Evening everyone!

My first entry into this thread, I'm a newbie in the watch section but I love a good watch.

I've been looking at Seiko Sports for a while now and there is a stonking deal at Amazon, just under thread by 77p I bought this...

Good evening BGB, nice choice.

It's a slippery slope you know......

That looks a bit of a beast. I like it but wonder whether my 'athletic'/girly wrists are man enough to carry that off.
As Figaro says, that's a very decent spec for half thread.
Here's how mine looks on my barely 7" wrist:

Not too bad I think, and even better on a Nato strap:

That's a great looking watch, doesn't look too big on your wrist either!!

I bought one a few weeks ago and put it on a vintage tropic trap, I like it.

Some more love for Seiko here, this was around £160 on Amazon. I've stuck it on a cheap Citizen strap for now but it definately deserves something nicer. Seiko provided a nice green NATO but I find that adds extra height to the watch.

Also props to Seiko for putting a textured dial on a cheap Seiko 5 smile

There are a lot of Seikos I like too, but they seem to me to be getting more expensive in general.

Agreed, prices are have jumped quite a bit last few years and the QC on some of the pricier models has been a bit shoddy. They have come out with countless models and re-releases....don't get me wrong nice watches especially the divers and I think there is still good value in the Seiko 5 range but prices are creeping away and dont see that changing anytime soon.

I am in seventh heaven... Found this during a deep early spring clean today, thought I'd lost it years ago. Didn't even need a battery.

And.. It's original, off ebay around 2004. So made 1976-78. I may have to be buried in it (around 2062) unless cryogenics tech improves before then.

yes

There’s lots of very bad influences around here.
I’ve been told by the Wife that I can’t play with them anymore frown
She also tells me I can’t buy an original Sturmanskie Ocean, as apparently owning more watches than days in the month is “obsessiverolleyes

I think she’s just being boring.

25% of thread budget - you are a budget watch ninja. I’ve ordered one as well as a green steel city Rolex GMT type which I’m worried will be too small.
I like a big face not a porthole.
