Plenty available in innsbruck Austria.
I had to refrain from buying another. I’d like Saturn, but I’ve not really worn my Pluto.

Our office is here, so I’ll be back in a few weeks, if I change my mind.

You’d have thought the resale market would have subsided a bit by now but I’ve just looked on the bay and Mercurys are still receiving bids well into the £300s.

Mercury, Neptune and Moon are still a rare find at retail, compared to the others.

Swatch sold over 1 million MoonSwatches in 2022, and are on track to sell 1.5 million in the 12 months they have been on sale, by the time we reach March this year:

I actually saw the complete collection for the first time flying through Geneva last week, rather than just an image of them & immediately went from want to meh!. Meaning there's one more available to purchase for those of you still interested lol. I can't put my finger on exactly what it was that put me off but I just felt a little underwhelmed I suppose?

Perhaps I won't be as keen to get another one. I have just noticed mine has taken part in some active weight saving; no idea when it happened as I'm conscious about not wearing my watches when I'm doing anything particularly manual.

The exact same thing happened to Adrian Barker

I'm curious to how Swatch will repair or replace your watch. Please keep us posted!

I was in Paris over the weekend for Retromobile.

Called in at the Croix Rouge shop and they had a good selection, no Moon or Mercury but I was specifically looking for an Earth.

Small selection in CDG also

Struggled to find a nato strap in a matching colour, coincidently got this one from Briston in Paris (its a good match in reality, the photo makes them look quite different)

Pleased with it, a nice souvenir from the trip.

I liked the earth too but didn’t think I’d end up wearing it. Looks good on that strap.

I couldn't resist, I was in Toronto and the Swatch shop had a few in, so bought myself this with some Christmas money. The OEM strap is made well but very inflexible, maybe it works on bigger wrist but certainly not mine.

So I got two different straps, a white rubber Hirsh one which is just gorgeous quality, well worth the price. And a Gulf NATO. I can't decide which one I like to wear more. I am under no pretense that I own an Omega, it's just a fun watch for the Summer. Really like how light it is though.

That Gulf strap looks perfect on it; where did you get it from? I may need to copy you if I manage to get hold of the watch.
From Esprit Nato in Fance.

How about this? A guy in a watch group I follow has put a MoonSwatch movement/dial inside a steel case. He isn’t a watchmaker but still managed it, apart from losing one of the small hands on his carpet and being unable to find it!

The case was from a £90 Pagani Design Speedmaster homage. He says the screw down crown and pushers all work correctly, with no custom parts or alterations. Just a case of extracting the moonswatch innards and putting them in the Pagani case with a couple of dabs of resin glue to affix in place.

I guess it solves the issue of the plastic case and pushers snapping off!

I like it smile

I like the ingenuity, but the end result is nothing but a fake Speedmaster.
The whole point of this Omega x Swatch collaboration is to have a Speedmaster with a plastic case made by Swatch. If at least it was a more colourful one to clearly distinguish it as a Swatch, but this way it just is a fake quartz Speedmaster that has a hand missing.

I owned a Speedmaster reduced at one point. If you don't want to spend professional Speedmaster money and don't want a MoonSwatch, get a Speedmaster reduced. Even the Pagani homage is more honest than this ....

Swatch make metal cases. Omega have already blurred the lines and trying to pass something off as Omega when it says Swatch on the dial, is very far from being a fake.

Looks decent, I think people just get a bit snobbish, modding is normal and should be no different.

Christ, lighten up. As with the Moonswatch it's just a bit of fun and really shouldn't be taken seriously in any way. The Moonswatch is not a Speedmaster, it's just a cheap Swatch quartz chronograph that they're asking double the usual price for due to some additional branding.

This. Looks a lot better than the plastic case and will be far more robust. Good to see people having fun with it as that is surely the point of the product?

In my opinion, it isn’t a fake anything. It clearly says ‘Swatch’ and ‘MoonSwatch’ right on the dial. It’s not there to fool anyone who knows anything about watches.

I like modified and customised watches and it’s good to see people customising and having a bit of fun.

If I was wearing it and someone thought it was an Omega, I would happily explain it was a custom mashup of a MoonSwatch and an aftermarket steel case. I’m fairly confident anyone enthusiastic about watches would be interested. I know I’m interested in it! smile
