They're not fake, they hold the case together. They line up as they are hex heads in hex recesses on the front. The screw heads on the back don't line up as that is where they are tightened.Emonda03 said:

You most certainly can line up screwheads, granted its not commonly done outside haute horologie. I have several tools specifically designed to under cut the back of screwheads to adjust the slot position when they are at the correct tightness. It is a very delicate operation as removing 1/1000 of a millimeter of metal can change the alignment significantly. It takes me around an hour per screw to register all the slots on a watch...
