godawful, sorryAs for real drivers watches, with a cockeyed face - quirky but aesthetically very unappealing IMO, and a solution to a problem that never existed
I would love that ^^ Longines if face were straight

Thank you for your input and loving that Longines, although that's out of my reach. The Laguan Seca these guys are selling is £299, which is affordable. I don't know of any other watch makers selling at the price.

Traditionally it was one where the watch could be properly read without moving the hands from the wheel (similar to some aviation watches).
An example (and one I have myself):
The offset dial is intended to line up so with hands on the wheel (controls in an aircraft) the 12 is at the top of the watch as seen by the driver.

I can't say that I like any of those. They look very odd and rather ugly.An example (and one I have myself):

For a vintage racing chrono look watch you could do worse than looking at the G Gerlach Enigma or the Vratislava Conceptum Heritage Chrono. Both are similar in style to the Autodromo Prototipo watches but are priced where I think the Autodromos should be (c£150). The Enigma even has the same/similar MechaQuartz movement.

My submariner tells the time with my hand on the steering wheel, so qualifies and wins.
Same here, I was about to say all this "Drivers Watch" is a load of tosh, do people have two watches, one when they get in the car, and one to change over when they get out?Always thought most cars had clocks anyway.
