You can spend over £100k on a Breitling, for my 25th birthday I got a Blackbird in 18k white gold.

It might not look like much but thats why I like it, its subtle and only I know how much its worth. To most people it just looks like the polished stainless steel version at £4k but to me and my family we know its a little more special. Ill take a picture of it on my wrist later if your interested, ive also got a pic with it next to a stainless one and you cant see the difference at all - thats why i like it, thats the point - some people get it, some people dont. It had to be perfect when parting with this sort of cash imo, anything less would of been rejected.

Diamonds are for hip hop rappers, although i did recently buy a dot diamond bezel tag link - on impulse though and i dont tend to wear it biggrin

Pic next to my bro's standard tag link

Not really sure what ShadownINja means. I'm not talking about design. I'm suggesting that the watch manufactures standards of quality control are poor. Design is one thing but when a bloody chronograph second hand will not set to zero or you notice a small hair on the internal rotating bezel on a £3000 titanium divers watch. That's different!

It's about having an eye for detail. Some might not notice it's not quite on zero or it won't register enough to care. Others like you and me will be bugged by it.

Whats the point of white gold watches? They look like SS.

Dont get me wrong, I love a nice watch as much as anyone but cant see the point of white gold.

Thinking about it I have a ltd ed Breitling which costs more than a standard so not much point in that either.

As you were.

Keep up the good work.

Its about having the prestige without the attention or "bling" that expensive watches have. I know what its worth and others dont smile

You could buy a stainless steel one and tell everyone it's a white gold one, then you will also know what it's worth and others won't while saving a bundle of cash. nuts
