You really think I am going to contact some random guy off the internet and hand over £500+ for a watch, sorry I am not that gullible

Can anyone answer the original question?
£800 is a very low price. Is it from a UK site? If it's from the US don't forget to add delivery, VAT and duty.....
Its from a US site. I was trying to find the cheapest retail price. I dont need to worry about delivery etc

??! You will have very few issues with people on TZ. I have spent more than double that on watches from people on the site and have never had an issue. Its easily the best way to maximise your cash, that watch is down to 600 now and is a bargain.

I would argue you are more gullible to pay full price for a new one, used is easily the best way to go!

Don't be a tt. TZ is pretty trustworthy. I've bought and sold plenty there.

Gift horse springs to mind.

If you're worried, ask someone like Dominic to source something for you.

Just don't complain if you end up paying more.

I can be a tt if I like. I have never heard of TZ before. Even if I had heard of it before, a member unknown to me on another forum with 90 posts does not fill me with confidence. I am a cautious person by nature.

I can use some contacts from work to source the watch, I just wanted so see what the lowest retail price I could find.

It was only a suggestion, from a very reliable source

But hey your not that gullible rightrolleyes

So feel free to pay £800 odd quid for the same thing from wherever you like.

I'll just remember that you're not the gullible typeroflrofl
Reliable to you maybe, but not to me. I have no evidence thay are reliable. Which part of that do you not understand?

I can probably get the watch at trade price, I was just interested to see what the cheapest retail price is.

To be honest I am almost thinking of not buying the watch due to the stupid, purile and petty comments in this watch section. "OOOhh I have a better watch than you and mine is original" so fking what.

No really. I asked a question and all I got was "its fake", "not original" "not a real Hure" etc etc forget it, keep you petty section of the web im not going to buy it.

A forum you generally trust the opinion of pointed you to another that is held in good regard by those on the watch side of things.

You responded "Yeah, right.." Rather than that, you could have asked " Anyone know these guys? Is it a good place? Any experiences?" But you chose not to.

In that case, why ask?

I know you better than that. What's the problem?

Calm down dear...

Quite a few of the posts have certainly tried to be helpful. Don't not buy a watch you like just because you get all sensitive about a couple of things said in a forum.

FWIW, I would recommend visiting a local dealer and negotiating a discount. Personally I would rather buy from a local shop than a US website unless the price differential was vast. I see you are located in Kent - I negotiated a discount of about 17% on a watch in a Tunbridge Wells jeweller earlier this year - they were very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Also, remember that if you are travelling at anytime soon that you can get a least 15% off in duty free shops too. Finally, you could always ask nicely if Dominic H on this site might be able to help - he's helped plenty of others on here secure good deals.

Dummy back in now.

Well I was not aware that the other forum was held in good regard by those on the watch side of things. The comment was "One here at a fair price" with no comment as to the validity of the other site or people on it. You can't blame me for being sceptical. Ok I didn't ask further questions but it just didn't sound right, suddenly a watch pops up just as I am looking for one, £300 cheaper than anything else I have seen, just seems to good to be true and if it seems too good to be true there is usualy a catch.

Anyway I am not going to go for the watch, I purchased a couple of Nato style straps for my current watch and decided to spend some of the the money on my track car project and bought two of these

Funny enought they match the Nato straps
