Has anybody had dealings with the web company watch-tools.de ???
Found the Rapport watchwinders there, they quote 785.99 euro incl Vat excl shipping for a Rapport Captains Quad.
I spoke directly to Rapport in London and they quote best price 875 Pounds (equals 1050 euro's) (Their excuse is the Germans can t sell this item anymore !)
Major difference isn't it

Many thanks
Ronny

Yup. I bought a bunch of watch tools from them smile All the different tools were packed well in separate boxes (I suspect the source of most of the tools was China) and had no problem with ordering or receiving the tools. This wasn't a big purchase though - just things like crystal press, crystal remover, movement holder, oiler tools, oil and a watch hand press-on tool. Infrequently used tools like that are OK to have cheap Chinese stuff. For screwdrivers and tweezers though - don't waste time with the cheap Chinese stuff, as they will seriously only last one job. And given how frequently you'll use screwdrivers and tweezers, it's worth getting ones made out of proper quality metal. Watch-tools.de sell some Bergeon kit which is top quality (but concomitantly pricey). Just had a look at their site and now they've got BECO screwdrivers as well which are cheaper than Bergeon but still much better than the Chinese tools. No idea what they're like for watch winders - don't really see the point of a watch winder...

I was going to add I know someone who went down the Rapport route, had two before giving up and moving to a different brand (Official Time), but I guess that might be a bit late now!

Dominic H on here sells Rapport watch winders!
Thanks - I've emailed Dominic though his profile to see his thoughts, recommendations & prices smile
I got an email back from Dominic, and then tried calling him to order but after about 8 unanswered phone calls over 2 days I gave up.

In the end I purchased the Rapport W262 "Ebony and Aluminium Duo" from these guys http://www.watches.co.uk/watch.php?wid=262W - they answered the phone instantly, answered Qs about the unit, chatted about other options and were very helpful - all at a decent price.

Winder arrived 2 days later and I'm very impressed so far smile
