I've a couple of Timefactors watches, they're excellent value and I've found them to be very well made. One thing to note, even although the watches themselves are every bit as good as a famous brands they won't have the same cache, then again they're cheaper and far better than all the fashion brand rubbish. Eddie himself is helpful if sometimes a bit bluff (typical Yorkshireman?) and his customer service is excellent. I'd highly recommend Timefactors. Have a look at the Timefactors forums, a bit like PH but for watches.

Many of Eddie's watches are made either by Zeno (older models) or Fricker. It doesn't get much better than Fricker as they also make cases for Sinn, Oris, Hanhart, and many others. So they are really incredibly priced watches considering they are of equivalent workmanship as these other brands but at fraction of the price.
Mindblown. I thought Eddie made them himself. I thought that's why everyone worshipped him so much.I haven't seen anyone worshipping Eddie, but many respect him for various reasons. I don't know the man, and I've only dealt with him when I ordered from him... But more on topic, the fact that he chooses a company like Fricker to make his watches, instead of having them made in a sweat shop some place, tells you a lot about the quality of both the product and the business. He even posts technical drawings on his site. It doesn't get much more transparent than that.

I think the whole kissing Eddie's arse thing is more about fear of losing an outlet for their multi-£k watches than anything else.
That's true to a certain extent and there is a bit of keeping the forum owner on the good side and it's a bit of hob-nobbing too. Easily glanced over though. As to the product, I would say that they are good value for money watches, you're not being ripped off or spun a line, they are what they are and I've always thought of them as being quite 'honest' if that makes sense. He doesn't pretend to be Precista, (well, Southerns), or Smiths of old and is very open about how he is just reviving the name and shape of some otherwise dead (mostly mil style) watches.
I've never had one of his watches, but I've certainly considered a few and obsequious unctuousness aside, I think he's a good bloke who makes good watches for a good price. Can't say fairer than that really.
I have had a few of Eddie's watches - a PRS-20LE, PRS-17Q, PRS-5, PRS-50 (briefly), PRS-12, PRS-27 and I currently have a PRS-22 GMT.
They are all great quality watches that would cost double what he charges, if they had a known brand name on them.
It's up to you if you like his designs or not - purchase with confidence.

what's with the hoof thing anyhow?!
I have a fair few timefactors watches (3 Orange, 5, 14, 17A, 18A, Speedbird 3, 50 and 53)
The quality is very good for the current models, less so for the older Zeno made ones (the 53 case work is not as good as current) although they are still good. Now they are made by Roland Kemmner and are better than ever, Personally I would recommend the Speedbird 3 as that's one of the best and the most common of all so good used ones frequently come up for a good price, although when the 18 comes back with a Miyota movement that will be a good buy too.
