I like that alot but £650?!
I'm guessing quality is going to be top notch, so it seems reasonable to me?lostkiwi said:

I have an Aquanaut and will upgrade to this one at some point. It does everything I need a watch to do - and in such a simple way.... although the mechanics are not simple.I had thought (and lusted) originally for a Sky Dweller, but like the more understated look of the Patek.

That's lovely. We are building up a watch collection as a family and recently went on the list for the standard steel Aquanaut. We've been told circa 18 months. How have you found yours? Have you switched the strap at all.. Quite interested to see what it looks like on a smart leather strap.
I was told the waiting list for the Aquanaut was closed... same as the Nautilus, so you did well to get on a list. The black composite strap is such an integral part of the design that I wouldn't want it on a leather strap - so no, I haven't switched it. I have the bracelet strap too, but have never used it.
How have I found it? Accurate, very light, very slim, totally discreet - I can't even feel it on my wrist. It's my daily watch - so I like it.
It doesn't have the heft and presence of most watches over a certain value, to the casual observer it could be a £20 quartz. I like that aspect of it. I bought it because I was trying to be a 'one watch' person and have sold a few of my watches with this aim in mind. The trouble is that the Aquanaut is not really a 'one watch' kind of watch. It's a bit too delicate..... but we'll see.

Please to get "on the list" for the Aquanaut. We've bought a few Rolex models this year so have built up a bit of goodwill with our local dealer. On the subject, I visited both the Patek AD and the Patek Museum whilst in Geneva on business last month which I can definitely recommend.
