I like that alot but £650?!
I'm guessing quality is going to be top notch, so it seems reasonable to me?
Does seem pricey to me too for a mass produced eatch. I'd rather a Magrette Kara for a little more and get a Titanium case, better water resistance and a Swiss movement as well as all the fabulous little touches like a crown unscrewed warning.
I won't argue about that, as I own a Magrette myself, but I don't think that makes this watch terrible value.

Those are in NZDollars? Doesn't seem too bad to me. Naive question but is there any important duty from NZ on watches?

Not a fan of the standard Aquanaut but this one I love.
I have an Aquanaut and will upgrade to this one at some point. It does everything I need a watch to do - and in such a simple way.... although the mechanics are not simple.

I had thought (and lusted) originally for a Sky Dweller, but like the more understated look of the Patek.

That's lovely. We are building up a watch collection as a family and recently went on the list for the standard steel Aquanaut. We've been told circa 18 months. How have you found yours? Have you switched the strap at all.. Quite interested to see what it looks like on a smart leather strap.

I was told the waiting list for the Aquanaut was closed... same as the Nautilus, so you did well to get on a list.

The black composite strap is such an integral part of the design that I wouldn't want it on a leather strap - so no, I haven't switched it. I have the bracelet strap too, but have never used it.

How have I found it? Accurate, very light, very slim, totally discreet - I can't even feel it on my wrist. It's my daily watch - so I like it.

It doesn't have the heft and presence of most watches over a certain value, to the casual observer it could be a £20 quartz. I like that aspect of it. I bought it because I was trying to be a 'one watch' person and have sold a few of my watches with this aim in mind. The trouble is that the Aquanaut is not really a 'one watch' kind of watch. It's a bit too delicate..... but we'll see. smile

USD...if you buy from forasec he's in the EU so no duty etc. If you buy from NZ there will be tax to pay - minimum of VAT plus handling fees. From memory duty is negligible.

Forasec charge €799 for the Kara or €695 for the stainless version

Thanks for that.. yes, I can see how you'd want to stick with the composite strap.. it's part of the dress down style of the Aquanaut I guess and the fact that a Google search throws back very few pictures of them on alternate straps speaks volumes..

Please to get "on the list" for the Aquanaut. We've bought a few Rolex models this year so have built up a bit of goodwill with our local dealer. On the subject, I visited both the Patek AD and the Patek Museum whilst in Geneva on business last month which I can definitely recommend.

Someone on the watches Subreddit posted this, wore it for veteran's day, apparently picked it up from a Baghdad market in 2003..

I'd be tempted if it was cheap enough, just for a laugh!

Have you got pencil wrists, or is that a massive watch?

I saw this in a French shop last week and have hankered ever since. It was priced at 1400 euro.

A better google image:

Any Longines-ninjas out there care to comment or point me towards a cracking deal?

I’ve never been a particular fan of Rolexes, but I really like this. Seems a perfect ‘multiple use’ watch.
