What are you saying here? Is that actually an old pocket watch re-purposed, or a new watch based upon an old pocket watch design?

The case, crown, and strap are new; the movement, dial, and hands are from the donor pocket watch... but cleaned and serviced. The dial is porcelain I understand.

To be fair it is but most don’t even have one and it is 45 years old , I’m going to drop it of to Rolex for the full works later

An Ebay trader named Time to Buy; the proprietor, Adrian, has a watchmaker contact who specialises in doing conversions. Puts up some spectacular stuff.

No point taking a Rolex to Turkey, so my sentimental TAG has had a nice run out for the past week or so. Pit stop back at home Friday before heading to Mexico, so it’ll probably be going back in the safe.
