Incoming!

For £26.50 shipped to my door, it seemed rude not to.

The mineral crystal has a scratch, it’ll come out with Polywatch no doubt.

I have no need for this watch but quite fancy seeing what all the fuss is about, as the MDV107 ‘Duro’ is one of their most popular models and a thread favourite!

Screenshots from the advert online, apologies for the crappy quality.

The Duro is a classic I reckon. Cheap, robust and good looking. It's my go-to watch when I'm doing jobs. It's also my only quartz; no need for any more if you've got one of these.

I need something for holiday after selling my Spinnaker and not thinking the main reason I got it was to wear on holiday biggrin

This would fit the bill perfectly - where is the strap from?

Blimey this was quick only 8 days after ordering

Seems a bit smaller than Hanns’. wink. The improved clasp of these later versions is nice, loads of micro adjustment too.

I am genuinely shocked at the heft, quality and lume on this watch as a daily beater. It's wears more comfortable that the high top end watches I own in my collection. This SD1970 cost me £53 on AliExpress came with a case, fitment and link removal tool also.

A superb companion to my GW-M5610U-1ER G-Shock which is my digital thrown on as a daily when needed.

I already ordered a blue version of the SD1970 also. I'll be doing some mods when time permits. Maybe a dial swap.

I ordered mine with the watch from Watchdive. It's a really good fit and the colour is spot-on.

I wonder if anyone can help me… I posted a picture of my G Shock a while ago and somebody said they looked great on a composite bracelet. I’d really like to give it a go but can’t seem to track one down other than on Ali Express and (having never ordered from there before) I’m a bit overwhelmed with everything on there and not sure what I should be going for.

Any help gratefully appreciated

I'm torn about this one, but at the same time I've worn it more than any other watch I own over the last couple of weeks so that definitely counts for something..... The Roue TPS Two:

So why am I torn? Well it's a bit over budget for this thread and yet some of the spec on paper is pretty lack lustre compared to many options these days. It's a VK63 Meca-quartz, mineral glass crystal, boggo 316L etc. etc. but then on the flip side is has pukka AR coating on that mineral glass, Super Luminova for lume and an absolutely lovely three layer dial..... plus a pretty epic case back!

I really like it and I think it's proof that watches aren't just the sum of their parts. It is really well done with a quality/finish level a step up at this price point and easily on par with the likes of my favourite Tissots etc. even though perhaps some of the materials used don't look that flash on paper their implementation is faultless.

I also love the orange second hand and chrono minute counter which really makes the dial pop too!

My latest purchase, had a significant major birthday and had some money, decided to spunk a tiny amount on a cheapo watch as I'm not very good at being a big spender

Orient Ray II in Pepsi style for about £65

Poppopbangbang, I really like the look of the True, and the thread title says £200ish as we're all buying watches that are over thread budget, so don't worry about it, if you like that watch, and the fact that you wear it so much says you do, then it's a keeper!!

Daytonavrs, happy significant birthday, cracking watch for £65, lot of love for Orient watches here!!

My latest acquisition…

Well under budget at £40, but I actually got this one for free because I’m in their “VIP” programme laugh and did a review on Amazon for them. Not a colour scheme I would have chosen normally but I’m warming to it. Will try and get it on my wrist for a day and see how I feel about it then.

I'm a big duro fan and have a couple, there is a bracelet on aliexpress for £13 and its fits brilliantly.
