What watch for £50

Nice. Do like dark watches. Did try a negative display on a standard dark g-shock and I just couldn't see the time at a glance. At least with the eco-drive, I can just about see the hands which is enough to give you the time.
How did I blag it? It was being given away on the thanks Eddie forum. Simply offer to donate to a charity. Sometimes I miss these but not this time!
Definitely worth the money. It is a larger watch than the other military eco-drives at 42mm diameter (normally they're 40mm?) and on a thicker Nato with dark hardware it just works so well.
Anyway, I have to do a bombing raid over Syria. Back in 10!
I can only seem to find them from abroad, I take it it's not a regular UK model? Ebay may be the best bet by the looks of it, at least the protection as a buyer is fairly robust there...How did I blag it? It was being given away on the thanks Eddie forum. The BM8475-00F was on Amazon for a short time. The description stated it had black hardware but the buckle is dull silver, they appeared to suspend availability after a negative review when someone complained that the description was wrong.Hoofy said:

my OVO binary watch (which, if I'm honest, is not the most practical for daily use).
Always wondered about these."'Ere, mister, you got the time?"
"Um... it's... no, sorry, I don't."

I received this today:
(Stolen pic.)
Only posting on this thread because I got it free of charge.
(I have promised to donate £50 to a local charity, though, so it just fits in this thread.)

Also how'd you blag a free one you git?
I replaced the original strap as the buckle is silver and looked crap, swapped for a fully blacked-out NATO strap (Timefactors I think).
Already put it on a black nato with black hardware. It just looks and feels so right.

If you just said it was second hand I'd have believed you New SW2 were reduced to £50 last Christmas, so hopefully when/if a SW4 is released the SW3 will follow suit Hi all,
I finally received my replacement Seiko snk 803 but they could only send me it in cream / off white. Shame it's the only colour I didn't like.
I know this is a bit of a piss take and bends the rules but would anyone on here be interested before fly back to Germany on Wednesday? 40 quid and I'll post it for free. Pm me if you want it.

Solar G-Shock, not got a white watch, might be a bit too garish?

I undershot the £50 budget massively with this one... And it's a real marmite watch. A few will like it but many will hate it
Gents, I present to you, the ZEIGER Submariner Automatic.
This bad boy cost a whole £16 including postage, brand new. Yes, £16.
I wanted a cheap beater watch for work, as I can't wear nice watches at work, and I got sick of constantly fishing my phone out of my pocket to see what time it was. I went to my watch drawer to locate a Casio G-Shock that I knew I still had there somewhere, only to find the battery was flat.
So man logic dictate that I go and find a new work watch for less that it would cost to have a battery put in the G Shock.
Imagine my delight when I found the Zeiger!
I liked the looks, the fact it was Automatic, and I especially liked the price.
I paid my £16 and waited with anticipation. It arrived only a few days later, in a splendid dark gold/turd coloured presentation box, complete with instructions and an 'international warranty card' no less. The warranty card had some spelling mistakes, but I'm sure they won't affect my guarantee...
The watch itself is actually much better than you would expect for £16. It self winds silently and easily, the second hand sweeps, the crown hasn't come off in my hand whilst setting the time... And the bezel rotates one way as it should. It's comfy to wear as well.
After 24 hours of wear, the timekeeping seems to be accurate as well.
The instructions proudly proclaim that it is a 'divers watch' with water resistance to a whopping 1 ATM, which now means that I get slightly nervous about wearing it in a humid room...
This won't stop me from wearing it in all conditions at work though, including having my hands in water as I have no doubt the Zeiger is a tough and dependable watch
So there you go, always wanted a divers watch from a big name brand but simply couldn't afford it? Zeiger could be for you!
