I've been wearing my fairly new CW all over Christmas.

Thought I’d see what all the fuss was about with Erika’s Originals straps. A nice change to NATOs and pleased so far.

Not a watch I was aware of!
I do like it and I'm far from a Rolex fan.
Enjoy.

I love it. It’s the only one I’ll wear in public as it’s the least ‘Rolexy’. If it wasn’t for the value of these things I’d love to have it modified and get the 3/6/9 replaced with 15/30/45. Maybe even have it PVDd.

Treated myself to this before Xmas as it was on, of all places, the TK Maxx website for a very reasonable price, then they knocked another 20% off it.

I'm very pleased with it. Got the strap altered today so it's no longer slipping about on my wrist.

I mean no offence to the previous poster, but am I the only person capable of resizing my own watch bracelets?

I don't get that either tbh.

Lots of posters on this thread buy a watch and the have to wait to have it sized.

I have resized two other watch bracelets and have the tools to do so but this one is an utter bugger and (after much online research and eventually damaging one collar), I decided to take it to the nearest Rado service centre who did it in ten minutes for £20 which is a no brainer to me.

My two local 'high end' jewellers (selling Rolexes, Omegas, etc) both didn't want to attempt it either so hopefully that tells you something.

As I said, it wasn't aimed at you. Your post just reminded me that I've thought about saying the same thing several times in the past. The difference is that you posted when I wasn't sober. smile

Not everyone has a dab hand in these things. Many people can't even put up something as basic as a shelf or use the right screwdriver to tighten a cupboard door knob!

Sometimes it do be like that.

Nothing personal, as above. Some watches are harder and some are easier indeed.
Same for replacing batteries.

Some are easier than others.... modern Rolex's seem to have glued the screws in place and many will struggle to resize without scuffing the screw heads.

Re link removal: not everyone has super steady hands, the right tools or an inclination to do it themselves. I'd also feel more comfortable that if they scratched the bracelet they would have the means to put it right, whereas i definitely don't have that at home.
