I did it like that.

Why tie up savings in an account at 1% interest, on which I pay 40% tax.

Might as well wear and enjoy!!

Go and talk to them. You can do two or three years 0%. It's less than a curry a week man.

Make sure it isn't the "Reduced", either. Get the model number off him and google it. 3539.50 is the Reduced and can be picked up second-hand from £600-900 making that not such a good deal. What I'm trying to say is do your own research and make sure you know exactly what you're buying.

I probably will, but since my Night Monster is currently being boxed up in a Japanese house (hopefully) and en route to Blighty, I shall have to leave it a few months...

We'll see...

I did go on a bit about the Reduced because on TZ-UK someone unwittingly bought a Reduced thinking it was the proper version.

Any advice on where to get a night monster from? I see seiya japan has been mentioned.

Also, still thinking about a regular orange monster, so a reputalbe place to track down one of those would be appreciated as well!

I think Seiya is the only place. They're not sold in the UK, so you have to get them imported!

Could also be worth looking on Ebay for one!

I got my Orange Monster from Ebay, again, they aren't sold in any high street shops, or at least none of the ones in Bristol have them.

rkwatchouse is the one I used. Was fine. Came a day or two after ordering.

Just how bloody long do customs take to say "Yes, it's a watch, no it's not a bomb. We'll send it on to it's final destination"... it's been in their grubby mitts for 3 days now, and still hasn't been presented to the "Customs Commissioner" (as going from Japan Post's website).

Highly, highly irritating frown

Well it appears they've been listening!

Status has gone from "Awaiting Customs Charges" to "Released With Charges" to "En Route to Delivery Depot"

Bugger, that means I'm gonna have to pay VAT and Duty frown but on the plus side - I should have it on my wrist by the weekend with any luck biggrin

The night monster looks lovely, but I have severe misgivings about the durability of that glossy finish.
Mines held together pretty well for the last 12 months.

Thankyou! I'm swaying more towards an Orange Monster now, so a reputable eBay dealer is much appreciated!

Orange Monster now ordered! As is a black and orange rubber strap. Will do the job nicely when I don't want to risk my carbon Speedy.

Cheers for the help, aplogies to the OP for piggybacking your thread too

The Night Monster has landed!

Bit surprised at the size, it's not as big as I was expecting it to be.

The super shiny PVD finish picks up fingerprints like nothing else though! Its definitely one for keeping out of the way of sticky fingers!

(Sorry bout crap pics, I only have the camera on my Touch Pro frown )
