Least Favourite Design (Manfacturer or specific Model): Werthers original flying watches. Enough already!
I bought one but not though Werthers, saved £60 by buying direct.I suppose because they are quite cheap people could pick one up without thinking rather than have to justify a £4-5,000 purchase.

Bought This Year: Another (brand new this time) Damasko DC67
I started 2009 with this one.
I also owned this one, a swatch I bought at HK airport for a laugh, 'cos it does tricks after you have been diving with it, and I thought that was a bit cool.
But from reading this forum I bought this one from Werners whilst the tag was away on service.
and now I want to buy myself a replacement for the tag which I had happily worn for about 15 years until I read this forum.
Quite liking the Sinn watches and also some of the Omega stuff, but still not seen anything that gives me the buzz to buy yet despite the bewildering array shown on this forum.
I have spent far too long this year reading all the posts to help me find the perfect watch for me, but I don't seem able to make it happen.

Batteryboy - have a look at Fortis, Damasko, Marathon, Glycine, Stienhart (sp?) and Ball if you've run out of puff... Cruising chronomasters website is also an idea for some other good stuff that you won't find in the High Street.
Andy T - that's a lovely pick up btw, beauty.

Got a Sinn 556 incoming.
Superb. You will not regret it - I was telling Nick (Heuerboy) only this evening how much I love my 856.As for the 856, wouldn't mind the it but wanted the simplest to use as a subtle dress watch.

Bought This Year: Casio G-Shock Frogman 8200 "Men in Black", ProTrek PRW-1300Y-1VER Military 'Stealth', Casio G-Shock DW-6900CC-2 Limited (blue Crazy Colours), Casio G-Shock G-8100A-7, Oakley GMT "honed" finish with blue face (just got it, bargin at £127!!!). Seems like a bit of a "G-Shock" year but I'm sure there was another couple in there?
Sold This Year: Poljot Ocean
Most worn: change every 2 or 3 days so no clue. Currently in an Oakley week though
Lusting After: Omega Speedmaster Proffesional "Snoopy" as always. One day...
Favourite Design (Manfacturer or specific Model): Omega
Least Favourite Design (Manfacturer or specific Model): Werthers "originals". Horrid things that carry little originality and only serve to fill a need "to have another watch" but show no imagination. Way more interesting good stuff for similar money
I suppose because they are quite cheap people could pick one up without thinking rather than have to justify a £4-5,000 purchase. That is true, but then again if people actually did think they would see some really nice watches for similar money that are even more interesting. I got most of my Poljot (proper russian factory models, not westerised) watches for around top Werthers money. And they are proper hand wind mechanicals not generic bought in quartz with copied designs. Good plan buying "direct" though
by "direct" do you actually mean "ebay"?

First dibs if you flip it.ETA: just got it. Bit smaller than I'm used to. Been wearing G-shocks, Tauchmeisters and Panerai-a-likes for months. The design is superb, though. Will make do until I buy an IWC XVI.
ETA2: well, it was 2 hours before I gave in and tried it on a Nato.
