Do you not think though, that this is a little de ja vu of the Milgauss. I mean, do you think in a year or two - you will be able to pop into any AD and buy one out of the window?
I believe the Daytona commanded more than £2K over list price on release for quite a few years ... Now you can buy one with ease!

Is that right in the advert that there is a 2 year waiting list for these?

There was a time when there was a 2 year wait (estimated) for the Milgauss GV, and when i bought mine (£3380 i think) i could of *easily* sold it for £4k. Decided to keep it though, and glad i have smile

OH REALLY? ...should be able to walk into a store here and just pick one up, I know you can with the Daytona. Might be a devious sod and buy one to sell on when I am back in December, just hope I dont end up keeping it!

I meant for the Ceramic Sub, should be able to get one from the local AD. Take it No Date is more desirable?

Matter of taste. Personally I prefer a date on a watch and don't have an issue with the Cyclops, others hate the Cyclops and therefore prefer the non date version.

I prefer a date in a watch, hate the cylops (why not just make the date window bigger?) and therefore prefer the Sea Dweller.

just went to the AD, works out at the current conversion rate at £4410.00 for a new non date one, they had 3 in the glass table.

In the UK a new non-date 14060M non-date Sub is only £3460...?

I guess there are enough rich Arabs around here to shift them, and at that price its no wonder why there is an apparent abundance of them here, why send them to the UK when they fetch more in the Middle East? Also its not in the locals culture to wait for things,if there was a waiting list here I doubt many would be sold atall.

It's not difficult to get a 14060M in the UK or anywhere else, certainley no waiting lists.
Are you sure you are talking about the 'old' no-date Sub....? and not the new ceramic Sub...??

Yes, but that's for the new ceramic Sub.... you however specifically mentioned non-date.... which is not the new one with a two-year waiting list.....??????

I just walked in and asked for a price on new ceramic sub, he pointed out 3 black non date subs among the many other subs. Double checked for ceramic price and buggered off as i had ice cream in my shopping bag. I hold my hands up, maybe I was looking at the wrong watches, but the price is for a ceramic. smile sorry for any confusion caused. I was more curious about the price than the display to be honest.

Aah....., sounds like a bit of sneaky salesmanship.... The non-date Subs are NOT ceramic, they are the old style non-date Subs that are still being made alongside the new ceramic Subs which have dates/cyclops windows, which would be that price you quoted. He would (should wink) have quoted you a much lower price for the non-date Sub.

There was one in the window of the Reading Goldsmiths yesterday at £5880. I thought that was a bit excessive to say teh least, but you could probably have a good go at knocking them down 10% or so :-)

More like a dopey Mark.H... I prob looked at the wrong row of watches. Given the already silly price increase over the UK price I dont think it would be worth bringing one back for the sake of a couple of hundred quid profit. Especially considering the outlay and hassle of selling it on.
