You get what you pay for; they're effectvely 'legal' fakes insofar as they had the right idea to remove the copied brand name. Bear in mind that whoever sells them is making a profit; so your sub-£30 watch costs much mess than that to build. That's some truly lousy material, and some truly forced/slave labour.
If you want a decent Chinese made watch, look at the Sea-Gull thread; the 1963 is a beauty and an ORIGINAL design.

Yup understand all of that.
Although i'm not displeased with my current Parnis.
The quality seems pretty good only downsides are the noisy auto movement and the crappy strap (now replaced)
And lets face it - they're probably all knocked together in the same factory, with very similar labour conditions.

Parnis is a mushroom brand. The guy selling the watch is usually the guy who assembled it, which means that build quality and reliability varies.
As has been already mentioned manbushije is a trusted seller. Prices are comparable to ebay and I can say from experience that he does accept returns. He also has a good reputation for turning out working watches first time.
Finally, not all Parnis's (Parnii?) are homages.

I'm wearing my Parnis Power reserve Portugese looky like (i.e. 2 sub dials top and bottom but one seconds the other power reserve unlike the portugese which is a chronograph and has pushers)
I've had mine over a year, keeps good enough time I don't need to adjust it in the 'week at a time' I wear it.
I have it on a blue Toshi so the straps worth more than the watch.
Finish on the outside is surprisingly good considering. inside is a chinese movement I've noticed on mine one of the screw holding the movement in is blued and another is chrome - but hey you get what tou pay for.
However I have heard of some quality issues with the movement more than anything else.
I really like mine its a regular wearer getting an outing probably every 6 weeks or so for a week at a time. I even wear it on 'smart occasions' as its dressier than all others but my Tourbillon.
I've got the power reserve one too. Can't fault, and can honestly say that the watches they are 'copying' are not 100 Times better. Mine was £50 Inc postage from China.I've had mine over a year, keeps good enough time I don't need to adjust it in the 'week at a time' I wear it.

I had a parnis after reading reviews on here, quality feels nice but it sadly fell to pieces soon after. I was very disappointed. You pay your money and takes your chances some seem better than others. This is a uboat one simular to the one i had/have....
I have had this watch with white markers for 3+years and is still going strong, have took it swimming and everything is fine. M3333 said:

I've got an IWC Chinese and a Panerai Chinor
Both very well made, feel good on the wrist and keep on ticking, only issue is a noisy movement. Cheap straps as well which are getting upgraded when I get round to it.
Cheap straps! What do you want for £50!?Both very well made, feel good on the wrist and keep on ticking, only issue is a noisy movement. Cheap straps as well which are getting upgraded when I get round to it.
I just wish I could get my power reserve version without the parnis writing. Even considered getting the dial repainted, but that would by me another two
