Doh missed it, looks great for a tenner.

Is cheating allowed? This was £150 on Kickstarter before the exchange rates plummeted. RRP is a bit more now. Was going to get rid but rather like it on the watch gecko rubber strap. NH35 powered Canadian lump:

No AR on the crystal, I was looking to replace it with one from cousins but on measuring it’s 3.3mm thick and they only sell up to 2.5, not sure if that’ll work just without pushing it in so far and rely on friction to hold in place.
I like that, a mixture of divers style and pilots style!

CdeG that is both bloody lovely and absolutely fascinating, never heard of them before, some very interesting design cues in there, are you going to get one?

My Steeldive has arrived already and I'm VERY impressed with it, lovely weight and feel to it, smooth second hand movement, the design on the case back is great, and it came with a link removal tool and spring bars and spring bar tool for the Steeldive rubber strap!!!!
I couldn't resist in the end. Black Steel Dive Willard incoming....

An excellent choice, wear in good health, wrist time, candy, stable, incoming, AD, daily, etc, kill me now, boil me in oil, hammer sausages in my back doors........

I have a final addition coming for what should be a while, then I'll hook up a picture of the collection. A blue face Rotary, I'm so predictable.

There’s a skeleton Rotary automatic in the job lot that arrives for me tomorrow. Apparently it’s a bit broken but things like that are generally easy to fix with WD-40 and a hammer.

::EDIT:: it’s a skeleton Fossil automatic.

Well, the delicate art of watch making took another turn into the unknown for me today as I had to fix the indices on my Hanowa Datejust.

This watch was €200 s/h and has a Sellita sw-200 movement. Sapphire crystal and a display back.

The watch was dropped (not by me) and 7 fell off.

So, caseback off, movement out, a few dabs with epoxy and a bit of fiddly tweezer work, and job’s a good ‘un.

My sub £200 SOTC.

Seems over 50% of my collection was obtained at below thread budget......think its the first time I've brought them all together for one picture.

Mine too

Fitted to my Hanowa Champ

The square shape of the watch gives it a bit of a 70’s feel. The bracelet is very comfortable, worth £45...not sure...£9 delivered YES!

Just noticed the scratch on the right lug, scotch pad out later - as I keep being reminded I’m supposed to be doing the cleaning at the moment... I may put this on my next watch which has hidden lugs.

I've commented before that I am impressed with my Orient dress watch, but this popped-up in my mail and thought it looked pretty good.

Just managed to fit the new bargain bracelet to my turtle. I'll be honest I wouldn't pay more than £10 for it, I cant get on with it and dont like how it feels. Still it can live in my spare strap drawer in my watch box. I ordered a nato too that looks great on my DH gate grail sub hehe

Missed out on a nice (to me) skeleton rotary due to being on the subway this afternoon and got eBay fever tonight whilst on the turbo trainer.

Preparing to be lambasted for getting into a bidding war and eventually buying this modified (and unresearched) Seiko for £140....

Due to be delivered at the weekend. Definitely need a watch case now. And more self restraint.

The Omega was bought by my Grandfather in the late 1940s for considerably less than £200, and is probably what got me hooked on watches over the last year or two.

The Bulova is the only other questionable one, but it seems to get a free pass on this thread smile

This is the result of my latest obsession with fixing up vintage digitals. My favourite is probably the gold G-Shock 5600c - surprisingly heavy with its solid steel case and screw back, plus it is NASA certified in case I need to go into space thumbup

TBH I’d buy another just for the clasp, my Timex IQ thing’s bracelet is rubbish with quite big links and no micro adjust so it’s either too big or tight.
