Incoming… what do you have? (Vol. 3)
Discussion
This arrived on my doorstep today to a huge sigh of relief... I bought it from a watch shop in Malaysia that had advertised it on Instagram. It was an incredibly stupid decision to send all the money straight to a random person on the internet, but it worked out this time. I think I've used up all my luck and won't be trying that again.
It's a Taiwanese limited edition, it's number 192/200. SBGA391G I believe. I also managed to get an R0121AR Grand Seiko rubber strap for my black faced 'normal' GS Diver. I'm very very pleased with both the watch and the strap for my other diver. They're both quite hard to get!

That’ looks very appealing. How large / chunky are the Samurai series?
( I have smallish wrists ....)
Erm, kind of medium chunky. I don't think you'd feel 'over-watched' with it.( I have smallish wrists ....)
They are really lovely things, and well worth going to have a proper look at if you have a jewellers near you that stocks them.
Both the Turtle and Samurai-styles are lovely, and has been said, terrific value.
My eye was caught by their Deep Blue faced Turtle, but I went with the limited edition Dawn Grey one in the end. I am unlikely to wear it on the bracelet so have a grey and an orange rubber strap coming from China for it. At €3 a strap, why not. If a nice grey/orange Nato appears, I might use that too!

Interesting .. I’ve also looked at a couple of ‘mini turtles’ - which are a very comfortable size - 39mm?They are really lovely things, and well worth going to have a proper look at if you have a jewellers near you that stocks them.

I should be able to get a mini turtle here for around 400-440 $SGD ... first shop I went into offered $440 ... that is around 240 GBP.
I’ll see what the samurais are priced at...
Singapore is a good place for new Seikos - the small shops in old malls are good value
That’s a no-brainer then! Those prices are unreal.
They’re well worth considering. I’ll post some better pictures of mine when we’re reunited (I’m currently in London, the watch is back home in Frankfurt)
Here’s an utterly crap photo of the blue Prospex, apologies, it looks miles better in real life.

full size turtle looks lovely - maybe a tad large for my thin 6.5+ inch wrists They’re well worth considering. I’ll post some better pictures of mine when we’re reunited (I’m currently in London, the watch is back home in Frankfurt)

It would appear that they are massively cheaper where you are!

Lovely choices. Only on PH do people spend ~6k on a watch on a whim!
I've owned various versions of the Sub and they never had so much as a scratch on them despite daily use.
That's pretty amazing. My Rolex is quite scratched after a few months - buttons, cufflinks and metal laptops will do that. Lovely choices. Only on PH do people spend ~6k on a watch on a whim!

The only watches I have which don't show scratches are the Sinn and Damasko. The Sinn is 10 years old and looks brand new after a lot of rough treatment including overlanding in very harsh environments.
