It's a 1975.I have a Bulova Lunar pilot on the way. I was turned on by the Omega Moonwatch, but can't justify £4k, (I cant be trusted with expensive stuff, damage rather than loss) and the 50th anniversary coming up made me have a look around and I found the Lunar Pilot, which is very reasonably priced (moreso in the US).

Nice choice. I have exactly the same one and really like it.

The strap's nicer than I thought it would be too - nicely bolstered and comfortable.
What's the build quality like on yours? I think it's a great looking watch, but have just seen Jody's review on Just One More Watch where all three of the samples have wobbly bezels. Hopefully fixed for customer watches. Most obvious concession to cost is a non-sapphire glass (apparently its 'sapphire coated') which with the domed shape might make it a bit of a scratch magnet.
I genuinely had no intention of buying but when I saw the price...

In respect of the wobbly bezel, having seen the JOMW review and then stared hard at mine when I move the bezel, there is some play, but nothing like the examples he reviewed.
I don't tend to look at any of my watches through a macro lens, especially not when I'm actually 'operating' them. Excessive play that's obvious to the naked eye might worry me; anything that you have to go out of your way to notice really doesn't - even more so on a watch that's so reasonably priced.
Overall, I would say build quality is decent but not stellar, there's nothing obviously flawed about it, but it's a light watch and feels a little bit toy like compared to most of my others (Grand Seiko, Damasko, Monta, Stowa for comparison). I'm totally fine with that given I bought it for its looks and it costs significantly less than all of them.
Summary: if you like the look of it and you're not planning to walk around with a magnifying glass strapped to your wrist too - go for it.

Snap mine arrived yesterday, sourced from Amazon Global Store in the USA.£366 to the door all taxes etc paid.
My wife bought me it for my birthday.
It's my first and only chronograph and I really like it.
ETA it was £339
