Early 60s Seiko Goldfeather on its way from Japan. A relic of the thin watch wars, its got a 2.95mm thick movement which is pretty remarkable for a centre second. Fingers crossed its OK!

Side pic of another Goldfeather to show thickness:

I've backed this kickstarter campaign (here:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/a-13a-pilot-w... ) for the automatic flyback version of the A-13a chronograph.

If it gets off the ground this:

will be my next watch smile

Yep - although, the guy behind it has positioned the crown and pushers 'elbow-side' because to give the flyback mechanism room, it helps if the crown sits low on the side of the case.

His testing has persuaded him that, with the low crown, elbow-side is better for comfort than wrist side. However- because it's a small batch production, he's very happy to make them other way round on request.

There are pictures & full story about the project here: https://forums.watchuseek.com/f7/13a-automatic-492...

Was looking for something a little under the radar and less pricey, so thanks to members on this thread (or shall I say the dangers of this thread) the Newmark 6BB stood out a while back. Procrastonated a little too long, but since they are available again I thought i'd press the button. Was a bit tricky to gauge whether i'd like it in the flesh without being able to see before buying, however now its arrived i'm really pleased it'll fit the bill.

Wasn't a fan of the Cordura straps it comes with though so a padded brown alligator has given it the look i'm after smile
