Resistance was futile.

Sinn's own 'photo.

LE (1000 to be made) 104 St Sa A B E ordered directly from Sinn, I've just got to be patient for a week or two for delivery.

Oh! That is so nice. Does it come with the strap shown in the photo. It looks perfect.

Just looked at the specs. Love at first sight. Very jealous!

Not nearly as beautiful as the Sinn above but have ordered another Monster. The SRPD25K1. It's my third monster but first 4th generation one. The cyclops won't be everyones cup of tea but is useful when you have knackered eyesight!.

Thanks for the comments, chaps.

@Fallingup - if you've gone to Sinn's website for the specs then you've probably already read that the canvas strap in the 'photo does indeed come with the watch, there will also be a grey canvas strap to accompany it. You can choose which one to have fitted from the factory, I've gone for the green.

I've always had a soft spot for Monsters, in fact it was Seiko's SKX779 that tripped me up causing me to fall into this rabbit hole that some of us have found ourselves in biggrin

Edit to add that there was a long running thread here just on the Monster, I was the last person to comment on it!

Two more from ebay, vendors pictures:
A Phenix. It's a Revue Thommen brand, probably not a great movement as it doesn't explicitly state the number of jewels on the dial.

& Another Carpentier:

If you check back to May 10th in this thread, you'll see three more I had from this seller. I was very happy with them, especially the Carpentier, which has become one of my favourites. The vendors pictures really didn't do the watches justice, so I decided to bag some more.

I know these pictures aren't brilliant, bit I like the look of the Phenix and I'm buying the Carpentier because I was so impressed with the quality of the first one, it seems rude not to grab another.

From the May batch, the Carpentier did need a service, it's oils had turned to gunk, lending some credence to the new old stock claim. The Lanco has an Astrolon, so no servicing needed there and the Vulcain is running nicely.

That VC is amazing! Very tasteful.

My E1 arrived yesterday, which was very pleasing.

Wasn't going to post, but something looks off with that Explorer. 3, 6 and 9 look weird.
Thought I better in case you have bought it used from someone.

Might be lighting or angle, but the 3 looks too rounded.

Wonderful watch. I tried one on a few weeks ago, my wrists aren't big at 7inches but I felt it wore a little small for me.

That's a non-lume Explorer, right? The reflection on the 3,6,9 was confusing me!

Edit: or maybe that is lume? What year? My 2016 with lume looks slightly different, I didn't know pre-2016 had lume.

Edit2: Just saw your other thread - 2007. Enjoy; a fabulous and understated watch.

Hey?

From the photo I thought it was the lumed arabics version, the lume looked too thin and the new 214270 also has a 3 that is quite flat on the outside edge, hence my comment.
