Beauty. I wrestled with one at that price from the G Shock store on Carnaby St. I think that’s a great watch at that price.

Yes, very good. I know it’s “only” a G-Shock but the fit and finish is excellent. I had the previous black version but prefer this one as it’s funkier which is sort of the point with G-Shocks.

To each their own, but I cant help think that any GShock on a non-standard strap just looks a bit st and wrong

Same. Very tempted.

I can see why you like it, but overall, those strap conversations just don't look cohesive to my eyes.

Most welcome. They really change the wearability for me. Use them on my squares as well. Glad you like it.

On wrist you barely notice, and they’re so comfortable.

I've been eyeing up a gshock for a while and spent the last month dropping hints of one for my birthday. The wife's ordered this for me as a late birthday present.
Mine… and despite having some much more expensive watches, it’s the one I wear most often. Will be adding the blue version soon, and maybe the gold/black one too.

Just ordered one of these as an everyday beater.

I've had a Christopher Ward Trident Pro MKI for the last 9 years but the crown broke about 18 months ago. I had it repaired at a cost of £140 but its now gone again. It served me well for 9 years given it only cost £300 when new but time for something else.

Looking forward to this. Looks fantastic in green and is also a lot lighter than the Trident Pro.

Arrived this morning.

Really pleased with it. I was a little apprehensive about the size given the stated dimensions but it’s actually spot on.

Love the green colour too. A bit dull here today but it should really come alive in the sun.

Feels very nice on the wrist and nice and light. My CW Trident Pro was heavy and used to get quite annoying to wear if you had it on all day. Won’t have that issue with this.

Very easy to set up as well. I didn’t bother with the instructions and just followed this really good vid on YouTube

Really pleased with this. Looks and feels great, should be robust but at £160 I won’t be overly precious about it. [url]

I see a lot of canvas straps on G's here. Don't you find they get a bit manky? I bought a black square with a canvas strap on it and ended up swapping it for a rubber one after 3 months. Watch kind of lost some practicality on the canvas one. That and it started to smell weird...

Mine is still my most worn watch. So comfortable.

Could be a bit (a lot!) easier to read, but otherwise it’s lovely.

Issue I had was the colours fading.

Yes in low light it can be a little difficult. It’s fine with the light on though.

I think just making the hands a lot lighter in colour would help.

I like that a lot! Looks great!

On the CW issue - Ive been wearing my CW Abyss for a couple of days after not wearing it for months and when I took it off this morning and swapped back to one of my G's it was stunning how light my wrist felt in comparison ... makes me think about considering to move my CWs on.

It’s taken a while to grow on me this one. But, now, I love it/ thinking of adding a GWG2000 to the collection. So legible and now I’ve figured out if I wear it a bit looser it’s comfortable. Huge watch for me, but strangely satisfying and can go and do anything, without any fear of damage or wear. GWG will obviously add sapphire glass and solar. And I think they edge this one slightly in functionality.

I really like this, but how much?

I enjoy the three G-Shocks I have. I’m not a premium
watch owner - though I’m considering one as a reward if my business does well over the next year or so.

But £5,700 for a G-Shock? What am I going to get for the £5,500 cost over an ordinary model?

I've been wearing this everyday for a few months now, as a tradesman it does get knocked about a bit and I was worried about the metal case would get scratched but so far it still looks great. There are scratches but it's only visible if you're looking for them. My only complaint is the groove on the strap does rub on my wrist a bit so I might change the strap at some point.
