Some recent developements
New Rubber strap on the Rotary Aquaspeed, it definitely looks better than the original padded leather
It feels a lot more comfortable as well
The recent(isjh) (may 2020) cheap automatic purchase is now on a rubber strap as well:
Much better than the original cheap as chips metal one, that like it was going to fall apart at any point
While I was on a tear replacing straps, I updated the strap on this one, a much smaller Ingersoll Navigator ( must be 20 years old, needs a battery), the whole face lights up on this one, remember when that was a thing?
Here they are with my other recent purchase (Rotary Super7) for context, watches have got bigger and heftier over the years!

What is the finish like on the watch itself?
The finish on the head of the watch is great, polished case with a bit of light brush on the top of the lugs. The lugs have a nice downward curve to them so fits on the wrist nicely. It's big but doesn't feel too big and not too heavy.Barchettaman said:
Blue sailcloth would look good. Maybe a strap like on the blue Mido Oceanstar GMT.
But to be honest, as long as the bracelet is exactly the right size a bit of cheapness never bothered me. Or is it really too rattly to cope with?
It's really quite rattly and cheap feeling, thin pressed clasp and folded links. Just found a navy Seaqual Zuludiver on Watchgecko with quick release spring bars, £14 delivered and on the way.But to be honest, as long as the bracelet is exactly the right size a bit of cheapness never bothered me. Looks like these listings are for that strap?

On a related note, I see they stock the rubber keepers that I have broken on a couple of straps, so I will have to stock up!
