It absolutely did; I’m grateful.

If the AD had levelled and invited a deal, it would have been different, but the thing was mis-sold and in a pretty cynical way. Which the sales person’s floor manager has acknowledged without quibbling.

My own fault in a way, being swayed by sales to go for something other than what I enquired about (the 01389). Had done my homework on that and not really paid any attention to the 00692 (on account of the synthetic case - ironically).

Just when you think you’re an informed buyer; lesson learned.
You're not alone...

After my PAM305 got stolen - I left it for a (grumpy) month or two before my mrs offered to replace it

After some deliberation I opted for a PAM614 but I knew it was being discontinued. After much searching by my friendly OD they sourced one and I snapped it up thinking I was lucky until I realised it was 2 years old. I found solace in the fact it was one of the ones available.

That was two years ago and they're still selling them under 'limited availability' - anything left much be how old??

Anyways - glad you got it resolved. I'm still tempted BTW!
Can appreciate why yes

It’s a great shame as, visually, a stunning piece; especially in sunlight. I really don’t like being had over however and unless some big steps are made my way, it’ll always sour the enjoyment.

I have one on rubber ATM because I'm giving it another go, but I find rubber and silicone sticky, sweaty and uncomfortable.

We're talking about watch straps here, not your weekends.

Sure; late T series (ie initial run) PAM 00692 bought from AD in belief current model. In fact, has been replaced after a redesign, in part intended to overcome failures of BMG case. There’s been a few it seems.

T series dial less cluttered than current issue, so kept watch after AD ‘recognised’ disclosure was not what it could have been.

I was in part culpable however, went in intending to buy, if anything, a 01389 (a titanium case), but got swayed by the ‘upgrade’ to the BMG.

Phew, must go and check the lugs are still on after all that! laugh

I have this incoming when I'm 40 in a couple of weeks. I'm very lucky that my partner has treated me so we went and had a look this morning and came home with this...

I was dead set on a Black Bay 58 but it just looked too small, this is a 41 and it's absolutely perfect. I also wanted something a bit smarter so this fits the bill. Leather strap inbound too.

Excuse the hastily taken picture, no chance of anymore as it's been hidden away until the big day....grrr.

I like that. I’m really starting to warm to Tudor.

Have a great birthday

Picked up the Hermés H08 today.
Never thought I would be into Hermes - but saw this in the Watches & Wonders releases and thought it was different. Did some research around Hermés watch making and their ownership of Vaucher.

Tried it on and really like it. Went for the brushed titanium and DLC version with orange rubber strap.

Kudos for choosing something different - I really like these. Hermés do some cracking, properly made watches.

Congratulations smile

Thanks - am really pleased with it to be honest.
The sales person was really passionate about Hermés horology - learned a lot.
